This does a great job keeping my bald head protected against the sun. It goes on thin and keeps the scalp moist.

"I am relatively new to regular head shaving and after using a competitor's product for a while I found the Bee-Bald line of products. The great thing is that the "Shave" cream is part of a coordinated group of products that works together to care for your skin and help you get the closest head shave possible. I start with the "Clean" product to get my scalp clean of surface oil, leftover moisturizer or whatever ever else is on my scalp. Think of it as shampoo for the shaved scalp. And it has a great scent! Next, I go to the "Scrub." This one also smells great and has exfoliant qualities that help clear the dead skin cells. Note: The first time I used it I came out of the shower with a whole bunch of flakey skin all over my head. (Think peeling sunburn). I contacted customer service (I have never had such a quick response from a customer service department by the way!) Their advice? "Assuming the flakes are unrelated to a medical condition, they are most likely pieces of dead skin accruing over the four day growth period (and possibly longer). Shaving more frequently, and using our products and a clean razor, should help." The next use of their products cured the flaky-ness and my scalp has never been smoother. The "Shave" product was silky smooth and was the last step in preparing my scalp for a fresh, new razor. There was a gliding quality to the shave I never had before and with one pass left clean, smooth scalp behind. Great products, great customer service! "

Having taken things into my own hands recently and going full-on bald, I have been leaning about and gathering products to help maintain my head, keep it safe, looking good, and in good health. To that end I've found the Bee Bald brand overall works well for me. I use 2 - 3 other products (I have the shaving cream, but tend to do dry rather than wet shaving). Overall I am thrilled with the brand. Therefore, when I was thinking about how to protect my head from the summer sun, I knew to look at Bee Bald again. I am truly glad I did. Like the other products for shaving my head bald, it has a great scent (or "non scent), and spreads well - as I get used to what I need. The other Bee Bald products have done as hoped and expected: leaving me with a smooth, clean, clear, healthy bald head. The moisturizing across the board has been excellent. So would the Bee Bald SMOOTH PLUS Daily Moisturizer With SPF 30 Broad Spectrum Sunscreen hold up?Yes, it does.I live in a place where sun is a "thing" and requires one to be aware of how one protects the skin pretty much year round. I've used it now on a few days out - pre-summer, but changing sun - and so far I am thrilled. The moisturizing alone has been excellent for my head. But having it to protect my skin has been a benefit. True, I wear and have a number of hats to help, but let's face it, hats are not the only way to go and often hats need to come off... so when I had mine off over the weekend, all was well. No burning, kept things calm and smooth, and I came away with a moist, rather than dried out head. In the end I am thrilled with the Bee Bald brand and have every intention of continuing to use into the future.

Really works well for me. The sun screen is definitely a plus.

What I’ve written below remains true. And.The product came! The version with SPF seems very similar as far as texture, scent, etc. No complaints. I plan on using it all and ordering more - this will. W a regular in my repertoireThe company reached out and within a day offered a replacement. I’m VERY excited about the right product coming!!! Will update soon. Until then…I was shipped the wrong item and only noticed after I opened it. The version sent to me doesn’t have SPF, which was why I was switching brands in the first place.I can review what I was shipped though!After a day of use, the product seems great. No strong scent, but it seems to make my skin softer. Im bald by choice (shaving my head), and don’t necessarily have skin issues I’m trying to correct in the first place.I’ll order it again in hopes it’s the version with SPF (as I ordered this time) and will expect roughly the same quality. I’m comfortable recommending it, though make sure to check the bottle carefully before opening!
