A proper, well built, stiff, strong mans belt
I wear a belt, every day, every where I go. At 50, I've owned a few and can remember a time when these things were just made better than the typical junk seen everywhere these days. I guess if the buying public has never seen a real, tough, manly belt then the masses think a soft piece of split grain veneer glued to cardboard is a good thing. I don't see it that way.I've worn Carhartt belts for years. They are pretty good and the edge and inside finish are well done. They are thick, and they last. They also have an unfortunately hideous lineup of buckles, and they just charge too much. A good product that just costs too much.Enter the Relentless Brands Journeyman belt. This is a great belt, made right, no stupid effort to make soft out of the box. You put this kind of belt on, don't overtighten it, and just wear it. After a couple of weeks it forms to you and becomes the most practical, comfortable belt ever. The leather is good quality, has a clean working man look that's not out of place in nicer attire, and the buckle is a quality, low key type that will do the job I need done. If you don't like the buckle, the belt is made with 2 snaps to remove it and replace with your preference. It's the best deal I've found on a belt in a long while. I live in Florida and work a lot outside. Sweat saturated belts tend to stretch, so the long term test is a summer of sweat. Initial impression is 4.5 stars. Only thing I'd change would be to finish the back side of the belt to lessen absorption of moisture, and just because I prefer a finished inside.

American made value
I purchased this belt a couple of years ago. By far, it is the best belt I've ever owned. Great for everyday wear. I wear it at home and to the office. Extremely durable. A great big hunk of leather, with solid riveting and a heavy buckle. I chose this over a Carhartt because this is made by a small business. This model should cover all your needs, whether at home, on the farm, in the factory, or out with the family. Highest recommendation.

Overall Quality
Excellent quality thick leather (not split leather that has been stitched). Comfortable, attractive, fits perfectly! Nice matte finish.Cons: It's really thick and takes more time to maneuver through belt loops but it looks good, is of good quality and should last forever.Suggestion: I would consider treating the leather once or twice a year with a good quality mineral oil preservative like LEATHER HONEY or the Vasoline type preservative you would treat Doc Martin leather shoes. AVOID SUBMERGING THIS BELT IN WATER - WATER STRETCHES THE LEATHER AND MISHAPES IT PERMANENTLY. If you do you part, this product should last many, many years. For the cost, this is well-worth the money considering the excellent quality. I plan to buy another. . .

Works well.
The leather on this belt is top-notch. It seems to meet its description of being full-grain, and it looks nice in doing so.It's a little tough, but it loosens up a little bit with use. I think that this is normal (as well as wanted and expected) for a thick full-grain belt. This is easily the best belt I have ever owned, beyond the awesome Dukes of Hazard belt I had when I was 4.I've worn it for a few weeks, and in those few weeks I've been up near the ceiling in a hot factory pulling cable. It has been hot up there. I have been sweating -- a lot -- on this belt in the course of my days. And while I understand that it can be normal, I'm already seeing iron oxide rust on the buckle. I didn't expect this.I expected the buckle to be of stainless steel or brass, not nickel or chrome-plated cast iron or steel where the plating gets eroded and the whole belt.Because it is held together with Chicago screws, I can replace the buckle so it continues to look nice when I have to tuck my shirt in. But I do not have any other buckles. I just have this belt, with its included (rusting) buckle.Since it rusted in the first place, I must deduct one star.In summary: The leather seems awesome so far, but the buckle seems like it needs a grand re-appraisal of the whole stinking mess.

Strong
Just what I needed for a strong belt to wear with my work pants. Work pants are blue jeans, carhartts, dickies and such. Belt will last for years. I swapped out the buckle with my old belt it was a little bit stronger. But the old buckle is strong enough. Pricey but I'm confident it will outlast anything you get from a big box store by a long shot.

Best belt I've ever owned!!
I just recieved this belt yesterday. This review is first impressions and I'll edit it in a year if anything changes. The packaging was good. An attractive sturdy box. Inside the box was the belt coiled in a tough clear plastic bag. The belt had zero damage on it. I took it out and examined it. Flawless. The belt IS heavy duty! Thick full grained cowhide that looks and feels like it will last a lifetime which is what thier warranty states. As with all leather it should not be submerged in water, say to clean it. The buckle is heavy duty, works well, and can be replaced with your own. The finish on the leather is nice, smooth and just enough slippery to slide easily through your pants belt loops. Although it is not a dress belt I think it looks good. The width of the belt is exactly one and one half inches (1.5"). It fits great through the belt loops on a pair of 505 Levi's blue jeans. I wear a size 32 waist and this is a 38" belt. It tightens firmlyat the 5th hole, out of 7 holes. I probably could have ordered a 36" belt and got a good fit but I might have had a stubby end leftover, plus what if I gain weight next year? Choose your size carefully! Inside the box was a $5 dollar coupon which will go to buying another one of these belts in a different color! At $30 this is a great deal! PS. I put a digital caliper on it and the belt measured 3/16" thick. Wow!
