Awesome product for Z's
Very good value bought on Amazon because Mishimoto was back ordered and it came with 2 day shipping and my car was overheating severely so I couldn't drive it.... 2007 Nissan 350z (HR engine) if you're having an overheating issue I recommend using this specific thermostat, it lets coolant flow earlier than the regular thermostats and I haven't had an issue since I swapped to this one and bled the system. 10/10 Great product for Z's especially HR, easy install, *YOU NEED A GASKET THIS DOES NOT COME WITH A GASKET*

Great pickup
Great fit, easy to install, I’m seeing a 4 degree drop in my running temp. If you’re replacing your original thermostat, you’ll need shorter bolts to install this as it’s about a quarter inch shallower than the factory one.

Not designed for 350z without gasket and new bolts!!!
Doesn't come with gasket so ordered one. Didn't know you need shorter bolts than stock or they bottom out and you can't tighten the housing because it's 1/4" thinner. Overtightened because I didn't know and was trying to snug it up, snapped the top bolt which is almost impossible to get to. Caused me 5 hrs of work to get it out. Will not purchase mishimoto witchcraft again.

Fits great, needs shorter bolts.
Works great, fits great, but it is about 1cm thinner than the OEM. You need to replace the OEM bolts with shorter ones, as they bottom out in the block before the thermostat is tight.2007 G35s Sedan, VQ35HR

What, no gasket?!!!!
I thought a gasket would be included. But no. Be sure to order a gasket as well. This unit has the cars temperature running much cooler and the engine seems far more responsive. Major thumbs up for this product.

Install on my 2007 g35 sedan vqhr... this thing works!! Drop my temps 15 degrees.. my car runs cooler and stronger! FYI need to buy gasket does not come with one..

Low effort R&D but works
The housing is not as thick as the stock one, which as other reviewers have stated you might not be able to attach this with the stock bolts on the HR motor. Save yourself some hassle and order the correct bolts, Nissan part# 11916-31U0B, or go down to the junkyard and pull them from a G35 or DE 350Z. It also did not include the gasket. That part number is 13050-31U00. I don't have a check engine light after 2 days of hard driving but it's also over 100° here right now, there's a chance your ECU will throw a code for the water temp never warming up all the way. If it ever comes up I'll get rid of that with a tune eventually but it's something to be aware of.
