Salt for My Water Softener I’ve been using Hydrosoft Granular Salt (25kg) for a while now in my granular water softener, and it’s consistently excellent. The granules are clean, dry, and uniform — no powdery residue or clumps, which means it feeds smoothly through the softener without causing any blockages. The bag is heavy at 25kg, but it’s manageable with the built-in handle. I store it in a dry place and it keeps well with no hardening or moisture issues. In terms of performance, my water softener runs efficiently, and I’ve noticed a real difference in limescale reduction around taps and appliances. Dishes come out cleaner, soap lathers better, and my skin doesn’t feel dry after showers — all the benefits you'd expect from properly softened water. I'm pleased to have received a branded product at a good price, reasonably quickly. I haven't opened the plastic sack so do not yet know what the product inside is like, but have no reason to believe it won't be satisfactory. It arrived a day late, but I received an apology from the supplier and at the present time it is not surprising if deliveries are disrupted.

Living in a very hard area, I have been using this brand for 2 decades and never had any issues. For the reviewers who are complaining that this is granular salt and not salt tablets, the key is in the name "Granular". Not all water softeners can take salt tablets, a lot of the older designs require the use of granular salt.
