Marcus Miller P7 Swamp Ash-5 2 Gen is a 5-string electric bass, which Sire has developed in collaboration with the American bassist and composer Marcus Miller.

The Sire Marcus Miller P7 Swamp Ash 2 Gen bass, here in the Natural edition, is equipped with new designed Marcus Miller Heavy Mass Bridge, specially developed to Marcus Miller’s request. This bridge has the characteristics of vintage jazz bass with heavy mass saddle. This combination produces a rich and punchy sound. New Marcus Miller Bridge is a string-thru body bridge mechanism that allows for more tighter, accurate and stable tone.
The neck is made with one piece of Canadian maple, and now has Rolled Fretboard Edges which was previously only seen on custom shop versions. The Maple’s hardness and strength, minimizes movement in the neck and provides a stable and good playing experience, and the Maple fingerboard gives that clear highs and sharpness in tone, preferred by many players.
For a good high quality tone, the body is made of Swamp Ash wood which normally is only used in much more expensive models. It is highly resonant and offers a nice balance of pleasant highs, firm lows, and a slightly scooped midrange which is great for slap playing. The characteristics of this wood enable players to emulate Marcus Miller’s tone a step further.
Nut is one of the most important parts of the guitar that influences the performance, playability, and tone of the instrument. Although bone nut is more costly and harder to work with, Sire has chosen not to compromise on this point and has fitted the Marcus Miller P7 with a bone Nut.
The upgraded Marcus Super PJ revolution Pickups Set is made with US-manufactured coil. In addition to the Fiber Bobbin and Alnico 5 magnets, this pick up is also made with US manufactured coil magnet wires. And the Marcus Super-PJ Revolution Set gives the player that rich, powerful unique precision bass sound as well as well as the vintage jazz bass tone.
The pickup's is mounted side by side and wired to Sire's Marcus Heritage 3 preamplifier. By using of 2 pcs. 9V batteries enable the bass player to get a strong and powerful signal without the sound being pressed or unnatural. All models come with option for active and passive setting.
With a built-in 3-band EQ with bass, mid-tone and tweeter tone control, you get full control over your tone range, allowing you to customize bass sound for any music style. The mid-tone control has built-in sweep, so you can decide where in the mid-range area (80 Hz to 2 kHz) the mid-range check should take place.
As one of the oldest jazz bass types and one of the oldest styles, the Precision Bass Type features a vibrant and robust sound.
