Yessssss !! MUST BUY!
I am so pleased with this product. It works such wonders! I have connected it by the WIFI router downstairs in the living room area - it helps me keep an eye on my little puppy and hubby who is currently working from home (no trust issues!)There is also a motion detector, so if something is moving there and shouldn't be, it will warn you. There is an audio setting where you can also speak through the microphone - great way of communicating. Recording setting - good way of looking back on camera.I cant fault this what so ever ! Such an amazing camera - I will be purchasing more for definite throughout the house - good way to keep an eye on delivery guys, and any dodgy people. It's a must buy.

Versatile easy to use camera with good IQ - looks feels cheap
This Camera is quite easy to set up using an iPhone X.Just download the app - plug it into the mains using the supplied usb cable - switch it on - find WiFi using it and connect - and you’ll get a nice intuitive easy to follow screen on the app.Using this app you can talk and hear voice from whoever is in the room where the camera is.You can View whatever is in front of the camera in real time from Anywhere in the worldSet a motion detector and record footage - it has a motion alarm which alerts you.Take still shotsPut in a Micro SD Card for as much storage as is needed. The camera has decent image quality and the stills and recorded footage are also decent and clear with a wide angle. So overall an easy to use and set up camera which is very versatile -you can use it as a security camera for the gardenFor the front porch or back/side door.Use it inside the house when you’re outUse it to monitor your kids when in the play room - or when they’re supposed to be reading or doing their maths but are playing on the Nintendo - catch em out!Become Big Brother!GRIPESIt’s ugly and looks cheap and feels cheapIt’s top heavy and unstable without using sticky pads to secureThe usb cable is far too short to be of any use - it’s only about 4 feet long -Useless.The bendy adjustable camera head is a gimmick and not accurate nor stableWho else if able to access your footage? I don’t know much about privacy for this.Overall even if it came with a longer cable and a better ergonomic build and looked better (rather than a lollipop) it’d be a 5 star product - but because of the faults 3 stars.

Will not connect...This TCP brand mini camera will not connect to it's app via smartphone over wifi. The step-by-step journey on the app is easy enough to follow and even warns about the need for a 2.4Ghz wifi connection being needed, despite zero mention of this on the box or the initial setup manual. Never mind, my modem is dual 2.4 and 5, so no problem. The blue light on the camera flashes indicating that it is 'pairing', yet the app slowly counts up to 100% and then fails to identify the camera, or vice versa. It has done this upwards of 10 times.I'm not a technophobe and am technology literate, yet this TCP mini camera won't budge. In this day and age of ease-of-use, user centred design approaches to technology and user flows, this product isn't easy to work, proving in fact, to be impossible. It might likely be the case that the item I have received is faulty, but I don't know that, and so can only review on my experience with this.

Tiny camera with adequate image quality for phone viewing.
This camera is just 4.5” tall and the diameter of the round bit on the top of the stalk is just 2”.Set up was ok. Download app (TCP Smart). Give either mobile no. or email address to receive a verification code, change phone settings to use 2.4GHz instead of the 5GHz it was using. Input wifi access password. Scan QR code on phone with camera, wait a few seconds and it works.Camera resolution is adequate for viewing on a phone. The motion sensor detects me moving from 8’ away on low sensitivity and sends an immediate phone alert. This seems significantly better than a Woox camera that I tested recently that cosmetically is identical to this one.If you want some inexpensive home security, then this seems worthy of consideration. Certainly its small size is a definite appeal.
