I am taking awesome pictures on my canon m50 with om mount lenses. However this OM to EF-M mount adapter went onto my Olympus 28mm zuiko lens a little tighter than what I would call normal. Still, I cannot complain for the price.

I thought I would take a chance and see if I could find an adapter for some old lenses I had for my old SLR film camera from 40 years ago. A couple of years ago I upgraded to a newer digital mirrorless model. To my surprise Rainbowimaging had this cross match of two different brands of cameras with years apart. I don't have the auto features but the old lenses don't have those features. I didn't have to spend a lot of money for the telephoto lenses I already have. Five stars to Rainbowimaging.

I recently purchased the Fotasy Cannon FD Mount Lens to EF-M Mount Adapter and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. The adapter allows me to use my old Canon FD mount lenses with my new Canon EF-M mirrorless camera, and the build quality is fantastic. The metal construction feels solid and durable, and the adapter fits snugly on both my lenses and camera body. I've used it for several photo shoots now and have not experienced any issues with wobbling or looseness. I highly recommend this adapter to anyone looking to use their FD mount lenses on an EF-M camera.

Fits perfectly on my m50. Nice and solid metal construction. Adapts all of my FD lenses into the camera with no problem. Make sure the ring is set to "open" before you attach your FD lens to it, then twist it to "lock" after attached. This makes sure the manual aperture works on your lens.

First, it does what you expect. This lens mount adapter cantilevers and holds the weight of a long lens, including additional accessories, without stressing the camera's lens mount and/or tripod mount. Yay! As you can see in the photos, I tried it with an old Rokinon FD mount 80-250mm zoom lens. It also worked with that same lens with both 3x and 2x teleconverters mounted at the same time, with a total mass around 32 oz (2 lbs). It worked with the 2 TCs, though it sagged a little, but I think that may have been the plastic Quick Release Plate flexing in its seat.However, depending on your Quick Release plate, you may not be able to quickly release your camera from the adapter to mount a different lens. When I try to rotate the camera and adapter, my tripod's 1-3/16 long QR Plate hits the camera body and prevents it from turning far enough to clear the adapter from the camera's lens mount. They could have designed this adapter's tripod mount to angle diagonally forward, or tapped the tripod screw farther forward to provide more clearance.All together, it's a good product, but with one minor irritating quirk. Decided to wait a few months before writing a review since I wanted to actually put the product through the paces. I have four FD lenses from my Canon AE-1. The 50 mm Canon lens fits with no issues, the other three off-brand FD lenses will fit, but not as easily. I've not spent enough time examing each one to compare everything between them. As for the fit onto my Canon M50, no problem with it and no problem with the actual lens. I have had to turn the camera off and back on to use the manual aperture control on the lens at times and I did have to remember to make the needed adjustment in the M50 configuration menu to use totally manual lenses. With the live view mode on the M50 it is great to use these older lenses and see what the image looks like in real-time. While I won't use all the lenses a great deal, it was great to pick up something that was able to bring life to them and save some money by not having to buy new lenses.

i bought this product, among several other similar products, in 2016. I put this adapter through a lot, big heavy vintage lenses on an EOS-M camera out in the middle of some rainy muddy field, trekking through the dusty dry lands in the summer time and so on. This adapter got shelved with a handful of others a couple years ago, and today i decided to put them to use again. The ring on the internal part of the adapter was VERY loose and i was somewhat concerned at first, as the lens would simply rotate at the slightest touch. After checking the product page to possibly order a replacement, i saw the instruction on the product image, explaining and displaying the adjustable flange. Once i tightened the screws up, it was back to holding solid. Great product, reliable, easy to use. Will definitely be ordering another one soon based solely on ease of use and reliability.

Solid metal construction coupled with nice machining lends this to be a very solid mount. No play at all when assembled.
