Quality build
I had to return it because It was not what i needed. It was very well made but it is NOT waterproof. As it sits, it is OK for a dry land trailer. IMO, It needs a gasket on the box cover to make it more weatherproof, but it will probably do fine without it. I thought it would work for a boat trailer, but that was my mistake.

Wire color code is not standard.
This plug is molded well and the wiring is solid copper which is a plus. The plug end fit nice in my tow truck and all circuits tested good. The 12V power wire and the ground wire are a larger gage than the other circuit wires which is another plus. Outer cover is a heavy gage and was pliable ever in cold weather when I did the install. The only negative is that the wiring covering color code does not match what is considered a US standard for trailer lights' wiring. You will have to test out each wire lead to confirm which contact it is connected to. Make yourself a color code chart to use for reference before starting the rewiring job.

Works for a utility trailer or RV trailer
So I ordered this for my Big Tex 70 TV utility trailer, and it works great.A couple of things to note because I saw that some reviews said that the color code was wrong for what they purchased. This is because (and this is a general statement) utility trailer manufacturers tend to use a different color code than RV manufacturers for their wiring. With my utility trailer being the type of trailer you hall a large lawnmower on and and RV trailer being something you would take camping to sleep in. So technically this is color coded for a RV type, but works perfectly fine for my utility trailer which is a slightly different color coding. While the RV and utility trailer industries may not agree on a uniform color coding, the auto manufacturers do agree which is why this can be used for a utility or RV type trailer. If you look at the the front end of this plug it says that red wire which is in the 3 o'clock position if you are looking at it is left turn signal. On my trailers original plug the 3 o'clock position was a yellow wire but that same position also makes the left turn signal come on. That is because the auto manufacturers insist that the 3 o'clock position on the plug makes the left turn signal come on regardless of what color the different trailer industries choose for that wire.So if you get this and are not sure just match what each of the wires do (ie left turn signal) with the wire on your trailer that says it does the same thing (ie. left turn signal). All of that aside about color coding, so far that product has worked great. I thought that it was reasonably priced and I liked that it had a longer length then the original one I had on the trailer. It is also easy to remove, when pulling the cord out of the back of the truck receptacle. My original trailer plug was not as easy to unplug from my truck for some reason. This cord stays firmly in my trucks receptacle.

OEM quality for cheap
Had to replace the cable on our brand new camper (the original got snagged and shorted out). This feels like the jacket is better than the original one and has pure copper strands. God only knows what this would have costed at the dealership.

A well made trailer cable.
This is definitely a quality cable. The black and white wires are 10AWG, the electric brakes are 12AWG and the rest of the wires are 14AWG. The main connector appears to be durable and well made. The individual wires are copper and quite flexible. The outside jacket of the cable is also flexible as well and is thick for durability. This cable will definitely handle any trailer electrical hookup. Included in the package are hookup wiring instructions. Spend extra time to make sure that you are using proper gauge connectors and crimping tool on the bare ends to hook up to your trailer. If you know how, consider soldering your connections and then covering with heat-shrink tubing. That is often where electrical problems typically arise, if not initially, then later on.

High quality item
This is another great, heavy-duty product by Kohree. It's thick, sturdy, and well made. It is stiff, but has flexible wire for the hookup (just flexible enough; doesn't feel like they'd break off). It's well wrapped, and protected.A note: read the instructions; the wire coloring is different than North American standard.

Very nice
This 7-way trailer cable is about 8ft long as advertised. The plug has a very secure fit in my 7-way Curt receptacle. The whole cable and each wire inside it have a nice heavy duty coating on them (heavier than others).Power and ground wires are indeed 10 gauge, brake wire is 12 gauge and the rest are 14 gauge. I've compared them against 12ga primary wire that I have to confirm. And yes, the wire colour-coding doesn't match the North American standard, but that seems to be the case with most of the trailer wires here on Amazon. The 7-pin plug is what you'd expect and it's wired using the correct 7-way pinout. The included instructions clearly explain the wiring diagram. I would still recommend using a multimeter to confirm that the plug is wired correctly before using it but I'd do that with any new plug as a precaution.P.S. in case you're wondering what those "paper" strands are inside the cord that you can see in my picture - they aren't actually paper. They add stiffness and make the cord perfectly round. They are synthetic and are quite strong. I couldnt rip them with my fingers. The entire cable is also wrapped with a white synthetic tape right under the black pvc outer cover.
