This fit my "large" frame Fuel EX 5 well. The bike's existing brake lines and shift and dropper cables were plenty long enough to raise the handlebar 3.25 inches and still have full steering range. Raising the handlebars so also let me raise the seat, around an inch in my case, to also take some pressure off my knees. Riding is SO much more comfortable now! I replaced the two 17mm m8x1.25 socket head bolts (that only engaged about 4 threads in the aluminum stem raiser) with stainless 20mm m8x1.25 socket head bolts that engaged all of the threads, so that I could torque them securely without worrying about stripping the aluminum threads.

Bought a new Specialized bike, but the handle bar was too low and made my back and hands hurt. This longer stem riser solved the problem. Strongly made and sturdy compared to all other cheap items out there. If you are ounce-retentive, get something else, this is for people who prefer safety and reliability over spandex looks and speed.

Used on a mountain bike and was very easy to install.

Some written instructions would have been nice. It is hard to snug up the fork into the head of a bike properly, so for those unfamiliar with the task, instructions would have been nice. Also, it might seem like the internal bolt that effects compression might be optional, but it is really required -- again, instructions about this would be nice.That said, the product seem solid and provides the additional stem height for which it is purchased.

The media could not be loaded.  Absolutely amazing and game changer for wrist pain. For what it's worth it did all what I expected and more. The project is sleek and not too flashy but there are a few areas I wished that they made a bit more stylish. The plastic top and silver hardware is a bit off in my opinion. Wished they had a metal top or allowed you to use your own metal top and black hardware.Overall though I can live with those things because the product does what it was in tented to do which is alleviate wrist pain

This is exactly what I needed for raising the handlebar on a Specialized Rockhopper 19". With the seat raised for a 6'1" position, the original stem height was too low. This resulted in sore wrists and numb hands about 10 min into a ride.The short version:This is a reasonably priced product for the average rider. And it extends the usefulness of my bike from an aggressive downhill posture to a more exercise-oriented street ride. If you are conscious of weighing ounces on your carbon fiber bike, you'll find this irritating. If you want to re-use your existing bike and need a better riding position with some simple modifications, read up a little on how a threadless headset works and then check this out.The long version:- You will need an 5"+ extension on a screwdriver or a t-handle Allen key for the star-fangled bolt install. Note that this center screw only sets the TENSION for the headset bearing. It DOES NOT conduct the full force of holding the bearing set together with the stem. The pressure from the stem when the two back screws are tightened are what holds the headset bearing load properly. To test your leap of faith, you should be able to remove the center bolt and cap completely (leaving the two back screws on) and everything still works correctly.- If you are unfamiliar with this threadless headset setup, you MUST look it up using many educational resources available in photos and videos on the internet - or take your bike to someone who can handle this. Otherwise you may damage the headset, set up a dangerous situation for the rider, or be extremely disappointed in a what is a reasonable piece of hardware.- I preferred the full height setup in my case. I may still have to make some fine adjustments to the seat and the handlebar hardware. But my initial test rides are a vast improvement over the original height. I apply much less pressure to my hands on the bars and have a more upright (although less aerodynamic) posture. The bike is decidedly more top-heavy - but I am looking for comfort and don't need single-track trail maneuverability for what I do now. The nice thing is that it is easy to bring the bike back to its original configuration.- I had to change out the FRONT BRAKE CABLE to use the full height setting. This was an easy change out using a brake cable kit from Amazon as well. All other cables had enough slack to use as-is. It is possible to re-use the front brake cable if you are not going to full height or if you already have enough slack in the cable for the riser.- The two back screws are not the greatest quality - I recommend changing these out if you can readily get the screws from a hardware store. For what I am doing, they seem to be adequate. I chose the aluminum finish model since it matches the rest of the bike hardware. I don't expect to do any hardcore downhill riding anymore, so I have no opinion or any useful data on whether this component is "trail-rated".The above is based on initial riding on the first day of installation. Excellent quality

I bought this to raise my riding position 3 inches, now that I am a little older and slightly less flexible at getting in an aerodynamic position! To that end it is perfect and I no longer get a stiff neck on longer rides.The installation instructions are not very detailed so if possible get a bike technician to install it for you. I made the mistake of missing out a stem spacer and my fork stem came loose, giving me a "Clown's Bike" travelling at 20Km/ph.Now that I have all the spacers in place it is fine and have done many rides with this higher, improved, riding position. What I really need is a bike with a larger frame but this is a LOT cheaper.It is very sturdy, strong and well made, a quality piece of kit.

I was advised to use something like this to raise my handlebars because of a back condition, and it has worked very well, making a significant difference.

Just what I needed for to make my bike more comfortable . It was giving me backache the way it was . Good solid improvement . Now I feel it's like a new bike.
