Great value for the money.
This computer is Awesome! I ordered mine on Amazon almost a year ago and I have had no problems with it at all. The touch screen works great. I did not buy it so much for the tablet aspect of it. If you want a thin lightweight tablet this is not it. It is a big screen and when you go in tablet mode the bottom does not detach so it is clunky as a tablet. The computer will go from off to internet ready in about 20 seconds which I love (I was looking at chromebooks before buying this for that reason but this is almost as fast and has a lot more capabilities). The battery holds a good charge and charges really fast. This is certainly not a top of the line laptop but if all you need is internet and basic programs this is a great choice especially with the touchscreen, it is also very sleek looking. A lot of people overestimate what they need. The average person does not need a $1000 laptop and Asus has a reputation for providing bang for your buck products.

Great versitile notebook!
I've yet to write a review on anything because I'm not that outspoken, but I feel obligated to say what a great product this is and after researching so many choices, I hope this helps someone else. It came with windows 8 which sucked as I was happy with windows 7, however after free windows 10 up grade and the features it has I'm loving it. The first thing I did was put in my samsung solid stat hard drive and another stick of ram. Not that it needed it, but now it performs better than my old $800 lap top. I can't believe how much quieter and cooler it is. I don't need a lap cooler as it emits very little heat unless doing music editing, even then it emits straight out the back instead of on my legs. The screen flip is absolutely amazing and great for reading, just flip it over and have much closer. as a tablet it's actually quite larger than I thought it would be and borders the line of being almost to big to hold in one arm and carry around, but for browsing the internet and streaming videos it works great. The screen is probably not the best quality, more noticeably in portrait view on end when looking close, but otherwise good. It's not very sensitive and precise enough for doing any drawing even with a nice stylus but works well for any other touch usage. I try to use a stylus more than getting finger prints on it, but the screen is nice and smooth and wipes clean easily with microfiber cloth. Battery life is awesome, especially after putting in SSD hard drive. Power cord is a simply power adapter not the old brick style and great for traveling with. you can get a car charger fairly cheap as well but I've hardly used it. I can make several sales calls and presentations in a day without having to charge or plug in. It is fairly lightweight for a notebook, but a little heavy as a tablet. The only con I don't like is the feel of aluminum under my palm tends irritate my skin, but it seems to also help as a big heat sink and keeps it that much cooler. If you want a notebook with plenty of normal usage power and the versatility of a tablet this one is for you. If you want more of a tablet with a keyboard, this is probably a little too big and clunky.

Display bug (tablet mode) after upgrading to Windows 10
Overall, a good value for the price, but Asus customer support has not been helpful with a known problem with the upgrade to Windows 10. After you upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 8, you effectively lose the ability to use the device in tablet portrait mode because the screen displays upside down. Do some internet research on some files you need to save from Windows 8 prior to installing Windows 10.

Good One.........
First, the product is delivered in good condition and second, the notebook is little bit slow because of low processor speed and ram. It is one of the cheap & best option for entertainment and for university students it's not the better option for all programming stuff..... And as a whole it is one of the best available notebook at the price.

Great initially, but not working now.
I'm revising my original review because I've had significant problems with this laptop. It's now virtually unusable only two years after purchase. I use it for email, light web browsing, and word processing. The speakers are also very weak.

ok at first i thought is was great, boy was i wrong
i just recieved this product yesterday i am very impressed so far. I feel that i got a great product for the price the qulity and the specifications are top notch. I did alot of research before buying thuis laptop i really didnt understan all the technical jargon so i started by learning what all the specifications mean and this one has everything that the more expensive laptops have. i will say that if you get windows 8 you will definately want a touchscreen. the only thin g i dont like is that when i do flip it in tablet mode the keyboard is laying against the surface of the table i can see this damaging something over time and i also have concern after a few years of flipping it from tablet mode to laptop mode the screen breaking off from the keyboard. The concerns i have the will only tell over time and after several years of use. i dont regret this purchase and i recomend it to any one......................5 days later please read the comment I posted below!!! please ...this is seriously the worst big purchase I have ever bought...not one of the worst it is numero uno THE WORST PRODUCT EVER PURCHASED READ MY COMMENT BELOW !!!!!!
