Surprisingly great quality!
Our entire family LOVES seeing and watching bald eagles. My husband and I both have binoculars so we wanted to get some that were a better fit for the kids and their eyes. These work great! The size is perfect for my 4 and 6 year olds. They are very easy to adjust and look through. Very durable as well. My 4 year old already dropped them (UGH!) and there is zero sign of them being dropped! The magnification is better than I expected for kids binoculars as well.

Impressed with clarity for the price for kids.
These are going to be a Santa surprise for my 7 year old and she is going to LOVE them. The instructions inside were incredibly helpful and even as a grownup who thought she knew what she was doing I was pleasantly surprised to learn new things about how to CORRECTLY use binoculars. The soft cloth was useful as the view was blurry even with dial focusing, until I cleaned the lenses off - the voila, picture perfect clear. I was impressed with the clarity for the price.

Hard to focus
These binoculars are sized for children. They are small for binoculars and can be tucked into a large pocket, but they only open a little so the eyepieces are uncomfortably close together for an average adult. The aperture is very small (21) so they don't let in enough light to work well in lower light conditions such as astronomy, indoors, or at dusk. I would say the overall quality is fair. Included are a nice case, wrist and neck straps, and lens cleaning cloth.I found them tiring to use. As you move them to look at different things, it is important to fine tune the focus. There is a central knob for that purpose (and a secondary one on the right eyepiece I'll address later). Typically, you turn it until the item comes into focus, then go back and forth a little to get it just right. With these, there is a lot of play so that if you go a little too far, I have to turn the knob about 1/2 way around until the focus starts to adjust the other way. This makes it very hard to get a good focus, and my fingers tire very quickly. This is far from ideal for children especially. As with almost all binoculars, you can adjust one lens focus separately which is important since everyone has some difference in focus between their eyes. Here is how: First use the main dial to focus just the left lens, then switch to the right eye and twist the right eyepiece until the right eye is in focus.Between the play in the knob, the small front lenses that let in little light, and poor optics, I found these frustrating to use, but still they work and it is possible to see things at a distance outside significantly better than with the naked eye. But there are better quality options in this range such as Tasco.

Worthless.
Not only can't you see birds or whatever clearly at a distance with these - you can't see anything. They're literally worse to see through than unaided eyes.

For the aspiring optometrist, get used to hearing, "Is this better or worse?"
For those of you missing the annual excitement of your visit to the optometrist, these binoculars are for you. Or, if you'd like to give your perfectly sighted child a preview of failing middle-aged eyesight, definitely consider these as challenge accepted. As an adult, I was able to focus the left side, but not the right side, per the instructions. I settled on a view of the birdhouse c. 75 feet away which was only slightly blurry overall, and perfectly clear when I closed my right eye and pretended I was a pirate (Avast, me hearties!). Also, the functionality which allows the rubber eye cup to be folded down for those who wear glasses is a nice touch. That being said, there's a lot in the box: cleaning cloth, two lanyards, instructions sheet and nifty, retro-designed carrying case. This is an adequate pair of binocs with limited usefulness - your child will probably enjoy them until the novelty wears off. They're not too expensive, so you won't feel awful when you or your child inevitably drop them from a height or the binocs are trampled by those all-too-frequent vernicious knid stampedes. And, as mentioned before, they can always use it to play doctor with their friends. Well, optometrist. (and really, what kind of chidden are your raising if that's their idea of fun???)

Good quality!!
Our oldest daughter loves hiking and being outdoors and she has always wanted some binoculars. I was apprehensive about ordering a kids item because they are never durable but these are incredible! So durable and such good quality!

Great gift!
My son hasn’t put this down since I got it for him. I couldn’t hold it for Xmas any longer. He uses it mainly to look in the trees outside and lives looking for places (we have several airplanes flying overhead frequently). It’s a good size for my 6 year old and easy to use. Lightweight too!
