(I was using the 14-50 connector to feed my circuit breaker panel through a generator interlock.) This made the generator unusable for my intended purposes during a multi-day power outage in my area. When I contacted support they advised me to remove the front interconnect panel and look for loose connections. When I did this I found the neutral contact on the 14-50 connector had totally fallen out. The retaining screw was in the bottom of the compartment loose as well. Both of these can be seen in the images I attached. Testing: Not all generators handle ECO mode correctly so the first thing I did was test ECO mode under an inductive load. Keep in mind that running Motors using ECO mode is not recommended by the manufacture and my testing would be considered extreme and not something anyone should do normally. ECO mode testing: Test #1: Shop vac: Startup amps: 15a Running Amps:10a. As expected, the voltage sagged a little during startup but the generator responded and the shop vac worked without any issues except for it moving around as I mentioned before. Test #2: Sinewave conformity with Victron Multi-plus II Inverter Charger. Anyone that has these devices knows how picky they are when it comes to AC sources. Under ECO mode, total load 20amps (with charging), this generator performed better than my generator. Response time is fast and voltage sag is well within a reasonable range, enough so that the inverters didn't go into assist mode. While ECO mode does make it a lot quieter when not under a load, it moves around quite a bit on it's own under load. If placed on a driveway, it could end up tipping over if vibration on the rubber feet causes it to move into the grass. placement and supervision is very important until you know how this behaves. If you run this without Eco mode, it doesn't seem to have this problem but supervision and placement are still important. The noise level is well above what I expected being an inverter generator, it is quite loud at 50% load but when you need it, it won't be louder than the neighbors generator so it won't matter. I'm very happy with this purchase, especially at this price point.\nReview: An easy to start little generator that worked well on a job site - I had some reservations about getting a generator from the internet and using it, but I saw this for a reasonable price and decided to try it. When it arrived, I followed the instructions and serviced it, then I started it up. To my surprise, it started easily and ran the tools I used to test it (a circular saw, etc). Generator worked flawlessly. Fired up in 10 seconds after the outage, ran smoothly providing electricity to the entire house and turned off automatically after utility power came back on. My 1-unit system has enough power to run a 3.5kW Air Conditioning compressor with a SoftStart module in the summer (I highly recommend a SoftStart module for inductive loads like HVAC), or 1-2 electric heaters on cold winter nights. The inverter is installed in a special corner of my basement. I installed a special box with breakers and ran wires and conduit to all the places I need. Highly recommend.\nReview: Easy Parallel install - I bought one of these on desertcart and a 2nd parallel unit direct from SunGoldPower. I installed both units in parallel with 240v split phase, at my off-grid cabin in Northern MN. I paired with 2 series of 8 x 380 watt panels tied into 2 sets of 4X12.8V 300ah LifePo4 battery banks. A total of approx. 6000 watts of PV, 32KwH batteries and 16KW of inverter power. The install was surprisingly easy especially after watching Will Prouse and WreeWray install the same or similar systems on YouTube. The inverters have worked flawlessly for the 3 months I've been using so far and, in parallel have easily been able to charge my wife's Chevy Bolt and my neighbors Nissan Leaf EV at level 2/40 amps. Only challenge so far has been to connect the units to WIFI which I didn't have at the cabin as we are too far off the grid. Now trying to set up Wifi using my cellphone as hotspot. Now entering the coldest part of the year when temps regularly go below -20f. I'm storing the batteries in a chest freezer with 3x 40 watt tank heaters to keep them warm. That last part was pricier than I had planned, but doing this to code is essential. After a short tutorial the electricians shut off power to the house and in about 15 seconds the generator kicked in and restored power to our house. The delay prevents momentary power losses, which happen more frequently, from causing a momentary restoration. When we returned normal power to the house, the generator shut down in about 30 seconds.
