Tea Time!!
It’s a well crafted teapot. It has held up well with no discoloring. We use it nightly for nighttime tea. It gets a workout daily. The whistle is loud. I highly recommend this product in brand.

Wonderful
UPDATE 7/24/19It's surprising to read some of the negative reviews regarding rusting, flaking and other issues. We've had this kettle since February 2015. It may be that because I thoroughly dry the kettle after each use there has been no rusting whatsoever on any part. Nothing has flaked off into the water. The cover, I do agree is somewhat tight, but I'd rather it was tight than have it fall off while I'm pouring boiling water. I haven't found the cover to be an issue. While it's true that we don't use it daily as some others do, still - we've had this kettle for nearly 4 1/2 years with nary a problem. It continues to delight me with it's good looks and the way it functions. This teapot isn't just beautiful to look at, but it's also a wonderful product. I am amazed how quickly the water boils - within a few (like 5-6) minutes the water is ready. I had a little Copco teakettle which we would have not replaced, had not my husband managed to melt the whistle plug, not once but twice. I was actually ashamed to call Copco again for another plug so soon after they had, just 2 weeks before, sent the replacement. Since there was a little damage anyway where the enamel had chipped and since I was so annoyed about melting plugs, I decided to try to find something that didn't have a removable plastic plug. In most households, the plug isn't an issue but apparently it is here. Anyway, I saw a lot of really gorgeous kettles but each one had a feature that I just knew was going to be problematic, at least for my husband. Just about had given up when I saw this one and instinctively knew that THIS was the one. Checked out reviews first, of course, and decided that although it was more than I wanted to spend, it would prove to be a worthwhile investment. I do wipe it down, inside, outside and the cover which takes all of 30 seconds so that it won't rust. I noticed someone asked about cleaning the outside. I'm not 100% sure about this, but you might try Wright's silver polish, which is itself a terrific product. (Cleaned 8/10 stainless spoons that absolutely would not shine no matter what I tried, but this stuff worked wonders - the spoons look new) Anyway if you have that on hand, try it on the bottom first to make sure it won't damage the finish. This teakettle is very well thought out in that there really is nothing that can burn or melt. The handle does get a little hot but that's what potholders are for. If you want or need to, the handle can be moved out of the way for filling; however we don't bother. What I really like about this kettle is that it looks old fashioned in an updated way, if you can understand what I mean. Modern and sleek but not cold. We have white appliances and brass accents in the faucets and it fits in fine. The other thing I like is that the bottom is wider than my old Copco and even on the highest flame, only comes up a little. But it is recommended not to use high flame on gas stoves, and whether this applies to everyone who uses a gas range, it boils very quickly as mentioned earlier. So, only time will tell whether this will hold up over the years - hope so and with a little care I think it will.

NOT non-stick, and it's GREAT
This is a fine kettle, and all the 'cons' in other reviews seem silly to me.I drink a lot of good tea, use good water, and I want a good kettle--and this one is it!(Isn't it crazy how hard you need to shop for a simple water kettle? Well, search no more.)The PROS:1. Solidly made: 1-piece body construction (i.e. except for spout) with no bottom seam to get messed up.2. Heats quickly: wide bottom is smart design.3. Easy to fill: handle moves correctly, lid correct tightness.4. Easy to use and pour.5. Good whistle that fits well.About the supposed 'CONS':1. NOT 'non-stick': The inside is simply not highly polished like the outside. Think about it: Why would a manufacturer spend extra to polish the inside or add an insanely useless non-stick coating?? (and I NEVER use anything 'non-stick'!)2. NOT a rigid handle: Mine moves with an easy push but also stays upright, as it should. Do you want a loose handle that will drop to the side of the pot and get hot while heating?3. Sharp edges? None on mine. Smooth as silk.4. Leaky pour spout? Not on mine. Seamless, perfect construction.5. Bubbles over? Read the filling directions! It fills my big English teapot.6. Hot to open or pour? Not mine, not at all: spout opens and closes cool.I'm not searching for the 'perfect teapot,' whatever that might be. (I've had both cheap and expensive pots. All I care about is function, though this one is stylish, too!) I'm absolutely delighted with this--A GREAT WATER KETTLE!!(UPDATE JULY 2013) After using this pot for two years now, I must admit that the 'gurgle' or 'blub-blub' does sometimes happen, and it can be annoying. But it's easy to fix, and the great, simple solution posted in the "Most helpful Negative Review" takes care of it fast and easy. (Thanks for the tip!) The pot's seal just works too well--it prevents air from coming into the pot as you pour, so it sometimes goes 'blub-blub.' As the reviewer suggests, just pop the seal out and the problem is solved. As for the rest of my review, I stand by every word: the pot is still working great!
