Adobe Illustrator CC Classroom in a Book (2019 Release)

not many books out there to choose from. on this one, sometimes can't find subject in back index unless u already know ow to look it up. the images are very small...could be more visual and more plain written. its pretty much similar to their help.adobe.com look up

I usually love the Classroom in a Book series, however, due to the different versions maybe, not sure, however, the book doesn't follow along with my version of Illustrator and is very confusing to me. I cannot find all of the keystrokes they mention because it isn't the same. I have the latest, greatest version and I thought since this particular CIAB is the 2019 Release, I wouldn't have a problem.

This book is hard to follow for an Adobe Illustrator newbie like myself. Also, many of the items it says to select are extremely small. The book does have a lot of projects to work on. The issue is trying to follow along. Hopefully I can find another resource that is more helpful.

I had been working in Adobe Illustrator for about a year, but still felt like I had only touched the surface in what I could do with it. I was confused by many of the videos that I was watching and everything was taking me so long to figure out. I was really anxious to learn more. I bought this book and have barely gotten into it. I have learned so much already. Very up to date and wonderful teaching and examples.

With the book you can download a set of very good lessons and go through them with the book in hand. Much superior to the Adobe "Help" feature. For use by a novice the index is very very weak. I frequently could not find terms from my college online class I was taking at the same time. But without the book I would have failed...I had never used Illustrator before, but I eked out a "B.'

I bought this book so I could teach a design class at a college to public relations students. I went to art school to be an art director but struggles so I changed to copywriting. Had I been taught like this book is teaching me I would have loved Adobe CC and not switched out of being a digital artist. Not only am I excited to finally be learning in an Adobe program but I'm excited to be teaching a class that I started off not knowing what the heck I was going to do.

Used an older version about 20 years ago in college as the class course. Probably the easiest way to learn illustrator at home. The tutorials guide you each step and is super easy to follow. The publisher of this series provides the online files for practice for you to download.

My book is falling apart. This book came in plastic wrapping, perhaps to hide the fact that whatever binding glue they use isn’t quality? Regardless, a working replacement would be ideal. I’ve used (opened) this book 2 times, I’ve stored it in completely normal conditions. Very disappointed, I’m a student and I cannot afford to spend time and money on products that are dysfunctional. Please advise if there is anything you can do to assist.

Book is a paperback and it arrived basically warped, the entire book has a wave to it so it which makes it awkward to read. I also ordered this as a Xmas gift thinking it was the latest and greatest but without warning I got last year’s edition for nearly full price. Next time I’ll go to chapters.
