Solid, Cheap, Holds Up.
I've had this rack for over three years as of writing this review. I've had to pull it apart and rebuild it twice to move it. It's pretty easy to do if you have the proper tools. I also have the pulldown attachment. The rack has held up well. The pins are still straight and solid. The rack doesn't wobble. My one complaint would be the one complaint I have about all of the TDS stuff that I own, which is the paint. TDS, please just stop painting your stuff. It's decent quality, but that paint chips off all over the place. The pins WILL leave black shavings all over if you are pulling them in and out to change positions. The orange paint on the hooks will chip (including the second set I bought later.) Actually, that's my other knock, is that the hooks kinda suck. The replacements I bought are WAY better and you should get them immediately especially if you will be benching in this rack. The original hooks are solid enough, but they are deep and have a near-90 degree hook to them, making them awkward to lift off from. Also, they don't tighten down, so you can knock them crooked on a bad re-rack.I feel like for the money, this is a great rack. It's not fancy, but it will keep you from killing yourself. I'm happy with it, for sure.As I said, I also have the pull down. It works well enough, but I have a couple of issues. Mainly, the tubing around the top pulley prevents you from getting too much of an angle on it. So, say stepping back some for rope press-downs you can skin the sleeve off of the cable. Which I did. Basically, the cable rubs against the sharp edge of the tube. Doing pulldowns or whatever are fine, but don't put too much of an angle on the cable. Other than that, it's held up over the years as well - even with the skinned cable. My biggest complaint (can you guess?) is the f'ing paint lol. It's not that it's chipping (it's actually not) but the painted shaft causes friction in the carriage (the thing with the weight that slides up the pole). So I've taken to spraying lube on the tubing so the thing slides freely. You could probably find a better solution, like sandblasting the tubing to remove the paint or maybe removing/shaving down the plastic bushings... I dunno. I just spray and play.

Exceeds expectations
Just right. After a lot of agonizing research on racks, and my wife asking me "did you buy one yet?" I finally decided on the TDS power rack. My biggest concern was stability. Second was size. Third was options. I can say this rack meets all 3 of my concerns.Shipping form New York Barbell was speedy. Two boxes. The larger package was only slightly damaged which is all the fault of the delivery service. People who blame the seller for the condition the article arrives in are probably UPS or FEDEX drivers. ;-)There was one issue with a broken locking screw for the J hooks. One email to NYBB and I had a new one the next day. Superior customer service!Assembly-The only way it could have been easier is if it came assembled! It took me about 45 minutes by myself. All the nuts and bolts are the same size, no way you can screw it up.I've had it a couple weeks now and have run it through the gambit of exercises, bench press, squat, rack pulls etc.Stability-not an issue. Sure it shakes if you drop a significant weight on the safety bars (which I was using for my rack pulls) but in no way did I think it was falling apart. Claims 1000# capacity, I've had 400 in it and it was solid.Size-Just right for my situation. Plenty of room inside when squatting and benching. Overhead presses do need to be done outside of the cage due to its height but I knew that going in.Options-I purchased 2 plate holders that hook on the front or back. I prefer this to the flat holders that are built into the rack. Numerous types of dip bars, pull up bars and J hooks are available with this.Knurling on the pull up bar is good, not to rough or smooth.Did I mention NYBB threw in a FREE pair of leather lifting gloves? No? Well they did! I know, I know, "real men don't wear gloves". Well, when it's 45* in my garage that bar can feel quite chilly and the gloves are a necessity. Plus I'm a hand model and need to keep them looking gorgeous. OK I may have made that last part up....This rack is perfect FOR THE PRICE RANGE. Let's keep that in mind people. Compare apples to apples when researching. One thing I wish it had was a bar holder. Hey TDS add one to the front leg or back! And if you do, remember it was my idea!

Good value, could be great
Easy delivery, arrived earlier than expected. I would purchase again though I have a couple of peeves (below) on the design. One of two boxes was damaged (as other reviewers have found) however the equipment itself was fine. Great job of packaging the nuts/bolts/washers. I skimmed through the assembly instructions and thought there was a better way and winged it. Took me about 65 minutes without assistance though I did rattle up the assembly (snug not tight) with an air ratchet. Overall, pretty solid assembly. I heartily dislike the thin red paint on the safety bars. Each time I move these bars a bit more paint fractures and crumbles with a sound like fingernails on a chalk board. I'd suggest more durable paint or chrome/zinc finish of no finish at all. At some point I'll grab a lead paint test kit to check if the paint is lead based. There's no way to easily secure the cage to the floor, maybe not everyone will see this as an issue. The cage is light enough that if you don't completely clear the bar from cleats and catch the lip the cage will move. Clearly a more massive cage (and more expensive) would minimize this or the manufacturer could add a couple of tabs for securing this to the floor. I'd also rather have something more solid than the thin rubber/plastic end caps that serve as the only contact between the cage and the floor. My half rack (purchased from Dick's) is full metal, no plastic feet and I really prefer that design and the feet incorporate a hole to easily drive a bolt into the floor and secure the rack. I'm considering modifying the bottom of the cage by pulling off the plastic feet and then securing the cage bottom to a couple of 2x6's with U-bolts and then securing the 2x6's to the floor.
