For over ten years, Esham has been synonymous with underground hardcore rap in Detroit, influencing an entire school of rappers that came to be known as "horrorcore". The most significant of these groups, Insane Clown Posse, founded Psychopathic Records ten years ago, a label dedicated to putting out the most hardcore rap in the business. Now, the two powerhouses of the underground have joined forces to present "Acid Rain", a greatest hits collection from the man who started it all. With beats hard enough to raise the dead and lyrics straight from the underworld, this album is sure to be judged as the greatest collection of hits ever from this master of horror. "Acid Rain" will also feature four new tracks produced specifically for this album, including cuts with label-mates Insane Clown Posse and Twiztid. After 12 years of innovating his own style, Esham has found a renewed direction and fire for his career in the rap industry, determined to present a gruesome depiction of today's wretched human spirit through the use of his trademark wicked imagery, all the while offering his insight on man's need for personal introspection and pinpointing the cause of one's lack of civility. A new era of lyrical brutality has awoken at Psychopathic Records with the arrival of Esham, and the underground will never be the same.

A Good Way To Meet Esham
Okay, this really isn't a greatest hits cd. It's more like an Esham sampler done for fans of Psychopathic Records. I must say that Psychopathic has some very dedicated fans, including myself. The majority of this cd is a continuous flow of several songs by Esham. It starts with the earliest of his work and moves on throughout his career with narraration by Violent J of ICP. It's great to hear how Esham has progressed. After you get through all of the classics, there are some new tracks for you. It starts out with Migrane Headache. This is my favorate of the five. The beat goes perfect with the mood of the song. The cocking and firing of the shotgun during the chorus is awesome! ICP is also in this song. It is kind of a sample of what the Soopa Villians are going to be like. The next new song, La La La, is kind of goofy, but somehow it still works well. Definately something you would not expect from Esham. This one also features Violent J. The next song, How Do I Plead To Homocide? is merely a remake. It's pretty good. It's now more of it's own song now that it doesn't have that "Fly Like An Eagle" beat in the backround. The next song is P-P-P-Pow! It's pretty fresh. Another one with ICP. I think Esham dominates this track big time though. The next track is Redemption. This came as no suprise to me after I heard track 17 on The Wraith by ICP. In a way, I feel like ICP kind of made him do this, but that's just me. It's still a good song too. It has some really good melodies. Bottom line is that everyone who is a fan of Psychopathic Records should pick this up because Esham fits in very nicely. If you're not a fan of Psychopathic, but a fan of Esham by himself, I'm going to be honest and say that you might be a little disappointed. Hopefully you can enjoy this though.

Times Change, Art, Hype, and Esham "The Unholy"
Theres a couple things you need to know about this CD and Esham "The Unholy" alright. For one, this CD is made kind of like ICPs The Mutilation Mix. This is Eshams 3rd Greatest Hits CD and all the songs except for the new ones are cut short. So now you know. When Esham was "Unholy" was before Closed Casket. Just like Violent J said in his narrations.Eshams BEST oldschool "unholy" songs are as follows1) Kissing Bandit: Boomin Words From Hell2) Devils Night: Hellterskkkelter3) Homey Don't Play: Homey Don't Play4) Living In Incest: Judgement Day vol. 25) Jaw Bone: Erotic Poetry6) Hoe Role: Judgement Day vol. 27) The Reel Feel: Erotic Poetry8) Kkkill The Fetus: Kkkill The Fetus9) Freak Nasty: Kkkill The Fetus10) Traces Of My Bloodtype: Maggot Brain Theory11) Coming Out A Coma: Maggot Brain TheoryTheres a couple more, but it goes like this people. Times change, things become outdated with each new teen movie. Theres a couple of more oldschool flavour that is "wicked". I haven't heard Judgement Day vol. 1 yet. Those songs right there are the ones that sound get you pumped. Some of the lyrics to Tales From The Lotus Pod are oldschool Esham lyrics. For example that song headaches where Monox Boogie said "I cut the head off the devil and I throw it at you" ***that comes from the song "Headhunter" from Kkkill The Fetus. ICP completely remade the song "Wake The Dead" from Judgement Day vol 2 *** on Hells Pit it's called "The Witch". Twiztid used that lyric about "her mouth having stretchmarks", well that is from "The Jawbone" from Erotic Poetry. Blaze talks about "Jawbone" on a Dark Lotus song as well. Theres just little things here and there. But there is one thing you should know about oldschool Esham. Like Violent J quipped once "You could barely hear a rap with all that bass". *** Oldschool Esham is notorious for using bass. Esham had a side project going on too, it was called "Natas". Natas was like Esham's version of Dark Lotus. He had that one rapper TNT in Natas. Theres a lot of things to Esham. Acid Rain is alright, I'm not going to lie. It was probably made that way because back then everybody liked the beats and everything. Sure it could have been done way better but, c'mon now who we kidding ***when has a compilation ever been great? It's always missing your favorite things right? Times do change.Esham "The Unholy" ***His BEST work after Closed Casket1) Tounges (Great Eminem diss CD)2) Dead Flowers (Enough Said)3) Bruce Wayne4) A1 YolaSee, one of these days that list might be outdated who knows. Theres no telling what the future holds. However I recomend these CDs you can't go wrong if you buy those.Anyways, on the subject of Acid Rain. There are new songs on it. That is why you should buy it ICP wreck on that CD. Where Violent J said "I'm Satan bitch 666 God damn". SoopaVillains might come out soon, who knows sometimes stuff just doesn't work out and gets delayed or scrapped. I hope that SoopaVillains is going to be great. Hey Juggalos, and Juffalos, you know what, you might also like movies by John Waters. You might like Fritz The Cat movies, he isn't just the guy who makes beats for Twiztid. Where do you think he got the name Fritz The Cat from exactly? Fritz The Cat was a comic book and he has 2 movies out. Juggalos might also like GG Allin he's a psychopath. Juggalos are great aren't they? You know there is a lot of things out there that people would like, I'm just glad it's underground so it's real fans appreciate it.C'mon somebody have the audacity to say that my review on Esham's Acid Rain wasn't correct I can just imagine it now, how many people say that my review helped them out. SO IF MY REVIEW HELPED YOU OUT>>> SAY IT DID

A journey through Esham's mind!
This album is masterfully composed in a form that feels like you are experiencing the best of Esham from beginning all the way to current music. I completely enjoy this album. Migraine Headache is my favorite song from this CD.

A mess.
This isn't an album. It's a jumble of random tidbits of Esham's career that don't flow together at all and annoy the s**t out of you by leading you onto a great sounding song and then going to the next 45 seconds in. Key Tracks - 'Dying To Be Down' and 'The Wicked S**t Will Never Die'. These are of course if you don't mind just a minute to a minute and a half of the song.

Where's Crib Death, Slug Froma45? ICP you failed me!
A great diservice to a deserving artist. While this had about 12 or 13 good songs on it, I could have did without Jays corny ass interludes. I also felt better songs could have been on here. The best thing about this cd is the album art. I'm giving it a 2 based on the album art and the dozen or so songs that I own on cd anyways.

Cop this one.
Super satisfying album. Not quite the entire song 'Per-Track'This album takes you through the rumours of Esham on his first DECADE OF THE WICKED ISHK!I highly recomend "Mac Dre's Don't Hate the player hate the game." They both string along the best tracks of their careers.

i give it a 10 out of 10!
