Little House on the Prairie Collection - 7 Books

Absolutely love this. My daughter spend 3 days to finish them all and she really love them. I bought the used like new one And I was so happy as they look just like completely new.

These are good quality paperbacks - normal size and font. The writing is excellent: we read them to our daughter, age 5, and she is enthralled. The writing is dated in places (native Americans referred to as Indians and often pejoratively: it is the viewpoint of 19th century American settlers). Likewise it has very traditional gender roles and too many references to religion (I sometimes skip the churchy bits but my wife explains how some people believe in the gods). We're on book 6 of 7 in the set and enjoying it.

This is a fascinating set of memoirs, based on the author's childhood memories. A little rose-tinted at times, but it still makes you appreciate the struggles pioneering families had, and how easy a lot of us have things today. I think this would be a good gift for keen readers 7+

Wonderful, perfect for children. So interesting too, lots of detail about how people lived back then.

Love this series, remember reading it myself as a girl, now will read to my son. Affordable, great price, excellent quality.
