Questionable Durability - Some Good Features
I purchased this bag after seeing the Yeti Panga and NRS Expedition zip dry bags on a recent raft trip. I really wanted to like this bag because I need a quick way to access my gear while also keeping it dry. Regrettably, I will be sending it back however and I will explain why. It is a decent bag, but for a price over $100 it should be built a little heavier. I would love to try it out and test the durability, but am inclined to just spend more for the nicer bag the first time and not have to worry. While the build quality (seams, stitching, handles, tie downs) of this bag looks to be solid, the TPU fabric is very thin and the zipper is single row and lightweight. My biggest concern is the zipper.Zipper: The zipper will likely be the first item on a dry bag or soft cooler to break. Yeti and other quality companies use a TIZIP zipper which is a product made in Germany that has proven itself to last whereas the less expensive Chinese zippers don't. It is easy to see what I am talking about if you are looking at the two side by side. This bag has one row of tightly spaced teeth instead of two rows of larger teeth. I have my doubts that this zipper would hold up while being used hard on long rafting trips. On another note, the zipper is at the top of the bag and doesn't zip as far open as others I have seen. This means finding gear in the bag while loaded would be a bit tougher.Fabric: The TPU coated nylon fabric is also much thinner than anticipated. As you can see in my picture of the inside of the bag the light comes right through the material which is about the thickness of maybe 5 or 6 sheets of regular printer paper. It doesn't look to have the rip-stop webbing built in so what may begin with a small tear it is likely to get larger very quickly. The other bags I put my hands on were much heavier fabric. This is important when carrying the loads that a 90L bag is capable of holding as well as when the bag gets occasionally dragged across a rough surface while unloading gear on rocks and gravel while on the river. This bag does have some positive features that I want to mention very quickly. It is why I gave it a three star review instead of lower. I really like the materials used for the webbing and tie downs as they are of very good quality. The welded seams of this bag look good and the reinforcement at the stress points with an additional layer of fabric are important. The outside pocket that also has a waterproof zipper is a great feature not found in most other bags and allows for quick access to a cellphone or camera while keeping it protected from the water. The mesh bag on the inside is a nice feature too for organizing smaller items. The skid pads on the bottom of the bag are a nice and critical feature, although an EVA molded bottom would be superior and give shape to the bag when unloaded.I wish that I could use this bag for a few rafting trips to test my initial thoughts, but at a price of $120 I am choosing to not risk it. Instead I spent a little more on the NRS Expedition (I got it on sale for around $150) and I know it will hold up. If MIER wants to send me a test bag I will put it though the paces and revisit the review with that information, perhaps my quality concerns will be invalidated.

Works great! Waterproof duffel for motorcycle
This bag is awesome. I was looking for a waterproof duffel that I could use on multi-day motorcycle trip, and glad I settled on this one. Packed everything in and strapped it to the back luggage rack of my BMW F700GS. The bag has great points for tying down - I just used two bungee cords through the small eyelets on the bag and it held great. I covered with an elastic. cargo net, but honestly that was overkill. The bag truly is airtight - after I strapped it down I had to open the zipper a bit to let the air inside the bag out, and it exhaled like a balloon. I actually started leaving some air in there and it served as a nice back rest for my girlfriend riding on the back.First day we hit a huge thunderstorm on the highway in KY and got poured on. I wasn't in a place where I could pull off, so got pelted with heavy rains for miles at highway speed. Everything in the bag stayed completely dry. Throughout the trip never once had an issue with any water leaking into the bag.I think over time and heavy use there could be a possibility that the seals will breakdown and bag will fail to be 100% airtight, however a tube of seal repair paste is included. Saved a ton of money gong for this instead of a hard top case for moto luggage. Also looked at Patagonia Black Hole and similar, but none of those claim to be 100% waterproof. I wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

Love this bag
Saved room on the inside by being able to put these on the roof rack. Very good quality kept our clothes dry and out of the way while traveling. I would buy again, if and when they fail.

Sharp Reinforcement material inside the bag catches between your fingernails and your fingers hurts
It’s a stoutly constructed bag and I would give it a 100% except for the fact that the reinforcement material that supports where the handles are stitched to the bag is quite rigid and sharp and catches The area between your fingernails and causes one of those fingernail skin separations quite painful. I have learned to be very careful when reaching into it or packing it it really needs some type of urethane tape to keep those sharp edges from being exposed. Beyond that it is a very tough bag and was thrown around by the airports in my travels and then landed on a baggage cart in the rain all my stuff came back totally dry so thankful for that but watch the inside reinforcement taping it hurts.

It doesn’t leak.
I do a lot of canoeing & kayaking, so I needed a bag to keep extra clothes, gloves, caps, a first aid kit and a small lunch in. All these items need to stay dry. I haven’t had a spill yet but I did throw the bag in to see how well it floats. With all my gear it floats high in the water. So, concerned about the zipper, I held the bag under water for no less than a minute. Not a single drop of water got inside the bag. I guess my favorite thing about this bag is that I do not have to unroll it to get to the items inside. I can just unzip it and dig around for what I want. That’s handy when you’re turned around trying to get inside of a bag that’s in the tank well if a kayak. Also I have put my arms through the straps like a back pack when I’ve had to portage. The zipper is hard to operate but it has to be water proof.

Better than expected
Bought this unexpectedly durable bag for a trip to India, to keep contents dry and free of bugs! Worked perfectly throughout despite much rough handling! The zipper is hard to open/close but I suppose that's only to be expected for a waterproof seal.

Awesome bag at a great price.
So, first off, it's not a Yeti. But did you think it was gonna be? It's awesome though for 1/6 the price of the Panga 50. I bought the 40L to take on the bike for overnight, weekend, or longer trips, to strap down on top of my tour pack. I haven't taken it on a trip yet but it fits on a full size Harley tour pack luggage like it was made for it. I zipped the thing shut and blew air in to it to make sure it was completely inflated, then squeezed it as hard as I could and zero air leaking. Buy it, you'll love it.
