I felt compelled to write this review: Sometimes when a see a couple of negative reviews, but the majority of reviews are good, I decide to take a chance and purchase. This was the case here, but it was a mistake. The other negative reviews regarding leaking are absolutely correct. Here was my experience:I saw this brand on sale when it was the "Deal of the Day." I have a Brother MFC-8950DW, so I purchased the matching toner and drum unit. At first, the printing appeared nice. However, the toner smudges VERY easily. So, when I went to scan various documents, the toner smudged and I had to reprint almost 100 pages and then rescan them. This wasted about 30 minutes of my time. However, the worst happened a couple of days after installing the toner and drum...the toner began leaking. There were blotches of toner over the paper. Based on another reviewer stating that the leaking ruined his printer, I quickly removed the toner and drum and replaced it with the original drum and toner I had, since there was some life left in them. The blotches continued for the next 5-10 pages or so, but then stopped...thank goodness!When packaging up the toner and drum to return to Amazon, the toner leaked out and covered my hands.So, if you are on the fence like I was regarding this company and their printer accessories, do yourself a huge favor and don't make the same mistake I did by taking a chance. Stay far away!It's too bad because the Brother accessories are so overpriced. I tried another off-brand toner with the Brother drum (this is the toner I was aiming to replace), but the printing is much lighter than the Brother toner. At least it isn't leaking, though. So, I still haven't found off-brand Brother accessories with quality equivalent to the Brother accessories. At this point, I'm thinking about ponying up the money for the Brother-branded items since right now I'm paying the price of wasting my time and dealing with cruddy-quality prints in exchange for saving some money up front on the items themselves.

I initially thought it was this toner that caused my drum to go bad but after looking at previous copies with my old toner, I see that my drum was going bad after all. I guess since it did have about 22,000 pages on it. So I installed a new drum and then had to use this toner cartridge as a last resort and much to my surprise, it prints fine. I was shocked actually. But, since the old drum was going bad, I lost a lot of toner while printing and only ended up printing about 3,000 copies on it when it should have been closer to 8,000. But I've put a second cartridge in now and it's still printing fine. I hope I get close to 8,000 copies but for now, I'm giving it 4 stars because I just don't know.

I bought these for a friend's 5470 printer on a budget. In their words, "Not as good as the original, but good enough at this price." Looking at a couple of documents she printed, they looked good enough for me too. Form factor is the same so installation was straight forward and easy. The best part is the price as they are a great deal for two of them that should last decently long.4/5

Upon further review, my problem was the Brother OEM drum unit, not these toner cartridges.I took a flyer on a replacement drum unit from EZ Ink.....and everything is working fine now.

I have been using the EZ Ink cartridges for a couple of years now. They always seem consistent and work great.No need to pay the crazy Brother cartridge prices. I will continue to by from EZ Ink.

toner and ink cartridges are the biggest rip off out there. I was told about EZ link by a friend and ditched the name brand cartridges about 3 uears ago. have saved hundreds by using this brand. fast shipping, good quality and the one time I did have an issue they replaces the cartridge no questions asked. thumbs up

I have purchased many replacement inks and compatible cartages for the printers I have owned. These are by far the worst I have ever seen. I have had these since 2019 and had put off writing a review. I have had to end up taking any thing I needed quality photos of to Wal mart. I would not recommend these poor product to my worst enemy.The second photo is what the truck in the picture should look like.

So glad I still have an older Brother Printer model that allows third party consumables. These E-Z Ink toner cartridges are a great way to save a lot of money on toner with no discernible sacrifice in quality or longevity, at least from what I can tell.
