We have only had this set for a few months. With in less than 24 hours there were scratches all over it. The wood seems really soft. Now the edges are starting to flake off and it doesn't look like real wood. It almost looks like a laminate with how bad it is chipping and what is underneath is really light, however I think it is just a really cheap coating and the wood underneath is quite pale so it really stands out. The chairs were off when assembling, one leg on every single one was off so had shave off and sand some of the feet down but it was an easy enough fix. In hindsight that should have been our first signal to just return it. Once you get it all together you just kind of want to make it work as it takes so much of your time or we probably would have just returned it. A few little scratches we could have lived with but now that we see it is never going to stop and how fast the scratches accumulate I doubt this will even last a year. Total waste of time and money. You are better off spending your money on something that will last. For the price I was anticipating this lasting at least a few years, but here we are a couple of months later and it already looks awful. We had our last, solid wood table, for 8 years or longer and we bought that used so in reality it was much older then that. That table just needed refinished, we just didn't have the time to work on it. Probably would have if we would have known what we know now. If you don't have kids, pets or ever use the thing then this table might last, other then that, unless we got a bunk table or a lemon so to speak, this will NOT be with you years to come!

I was able to assemble the chairs and table by myself in just one hour. It was not a bad experience. However, out of 4 chairs, I had 3 of them not well-balanced, with one of them significantly NOT balanced. I contacted Amazon and as for solution on this matter. They said that they could schedule a pick up of ALL PIECES! Given that this was the only set of dining equipment in my place and it took considerably a long time and effort for delivery and assembly, I could hardly imagine how am I supposed to return all the items and go over this whole process again. This would be easier to solve by a more careful manufacturing and having makeup pieces available. In fact, sadly no. I hope this message could make the manufacturer aware of the flaws of detail in their makings. It was a pity that these woods had to go through so much shaping, but eventually became poor quality.

Once this product is fully put together it is a beautiful set. We did have a few problems in the installation process but we overcame those issues and one leg is shorter than the others on one of the chairs. That is the only reason I made it a four star.

This is the first table my husband and I have bought for our apartment, and it fits perfectly with our dining room. Beautiful color and perfect size. We like to have game nights every Saturday, and it fits our party of 7 and up quite well.The only issue is that it scratches on top fairly easily, but without real wood that is to be expected.

Absolutely gorgeous wood table set! Sturdy and fairly straightforward to assemble, though easiest with a two-person team. It passes the thumbnail press test I always conduct when looking for furniture— no indentation or scratch created. For those interested, it is marked as made in Vietnam on the underside of the table. Definitely a great value for those seeking a casual dining set for use in a kitchen setting. A step up from a true starter set with great potential to be a long lasting staple in the household.

Chairs somewhat on the small side. But overall, the quality is good for a product being purchased on line. And without being seen in person.

Overall they are good furnitures although the legs of the chairs seem having different length. Very good customer service!

This was my first furniture purchase through Amazon and I am very pleased. I had a specific look I was going for and this met all my criteria. I already have a formal dining room table so I was looking for a casual everyday kitchen table that wasn't too big, had a solid table top (no leaf) and was light oak. This set is well made and very easy to assemble.
