Alpine SwissStella Womens Wool Single Button 7/8 Length Overcoat

I actually REALLY like this coat. But, I had a clue of what to expect by reading the other reviews. It does tend to be a bit small across the shoulders, but not so small that I needed to order a size up. If I had ordered a size up, the waist would be too big for me.This is DEFINITELY a mid to lightweight coat. I would wear it at about 45 degrees and above (I live in the mid-Atlantic area). Mostly because it doesn't close completely in the front, it cuts away as it rises or drops from the waist.The outside is made of 30% wool, 70% polyester. The lining is 100% polyester. The pockets are a bit small - good for a soft, smallish pair of gloves, a tube of vasoline/chapstick, and that's about it. I think the construction is actually pretty good. The only negative I have to say about it is that I think the material tends to pick up lint or animal hairs (hence the 4 stars).

I would say this is a good quality, lightweight wool blend coat. I have purchased others that are literally paper-thin and have wondered why anyone would even want to make a jacket out of something that thin. That is not the case with this jacket. It is lighter-weight and definitely would not be adequate in severe weather, but it is warm. I ordered a size up so that I would be able to layer a sweater underneath, and I am glad I did. The fit is good, but maybe a little on the small side. It could use a little more room in the shoulders to allow for a little more flexibility, but other than that it is quite comfortable and it looks great! I actually really like this coat and can see myself using it often! It is definitely not top-of-the-line, but is affordable, warm, well-made, and helps a good cause. I am a happy customer! :)

This coat is perfect for wearing with dressy clothing. I’m 5’4 and it hits me right above the knee. The button at the waist is very flattering. The coat was pretty warm and not too heavy of a jacket. Very soft and comfortable too!

I bought the XL for my wife. It fitted my daughter ok.

The fit on this jacket is average but is NOT according to the dimensions on the sizing chart provided by vendor. I like the weight and fit of the jacket, but it's longer than I wanted - knee-length for me (5'). So, I'll be returning it.

It's warm. It looks stylish and fitted. I love everything about it, EXCEPT: I didn't take into consideration that a fitted jacket wouldn't work well for layering. It was in the 20's this morning when I left for work and it will be 70 when I head home this afternoon. I needed to wear an additional sweater for warmth in the 20's. I also needed that sweater for comfort without the coat all day. this afternoon I will need to carry the coat. It was a little tight buttoning that great single button with the needed sweater underneath. You might want to get a larger size, but either way it's worth it since it's so darn cute on! Get the coat!!

This is a NICE coat! I bought this for one of my daughters for Christmas & she loved it! It is very nicely made & I got a great price for it when it was on the Lightening Deals. I will say that, if you want to wear it over sweaters, you might consider sizing up. It is more of a slim fitting coat. The coat will look great as casual wear or for a more formal occasion. This coat is so nice that I sm considering buying 2 more; one for my other daughter & one for me!

its nice jacket but it collects lent very easy with out you putting it down somewhere. I knew i had to hem it up a little pass my hip line because im 4'11 other than that it fit well and is comfy and warm but only for fall and states with small winter...like North Carolina.
