Q: which is the most common size for cooking? 10 or 13inch?

The 13” inch is a new addition to our utensil line up, it keeps your hand a little further from the heat and has a little more width than the 10”. It’s not a clear answer as it comes down to personal preference. The new 13” is gaining popularity but the 10” is also a top seller.

Q: Which wood will hold its sharp flat edge best? Can it be re shaped/sharpened as it wears? I will be using these to scrape cast iron primarily.

These are made specifically to be used with cast iron. The Mexican Ebony is the hardest wood we use. They will hold up very well overtime.

Q: Split between a 13" jatoba and the woodenhouse 2 pack of 12" teak spatulas. Thoughts?

I have the 10" and it's perfect, so... I would go the 12". Keep in mind what you will use it for. I use mine daily, it's the perfect size. I've had mine for over a year and will never buy another plastic spatula. Plus if you have any questions, the companies customer service is superb. Good luck!

Hello. Included in your package is come care instructions and a little scrub pad. Hand wash only in hot soapy water, let it air dry. We recommend using a 100% food grade mineral oil every 3-6 months or so. It all depends on if you like it looking new (oil more often) or a used, grandma's old spoon look (less often).
