best neck pillow ever.
I 've used this pillow for about 30 years because of a neck problem it's the only pillow I don't have neck pain with. NEVER stop making it or the mini traveler size.

It is definitely different from the previous versions
UPDATE on previous review: I've now had this pillow three months and I still can't use it. I have heavy boxes sitting on top of it to try and compress the foam to the same height as the previous versions of this pillow so I can use it. I'm a long-time customer and I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED in Foot Levelers for changing this pillow. I'm not really sure how to rate this yet. I've been sleeping on these pillows since about 1996. This would be my fourth one (two full size and two travel size). I got all of my other pillows like this from my chiropractor (who has now retired). I never needed a break in period with my other pillows. I was able to sleep on them from day one and they were fabulous. I still have two of them. My old travel pillow is getting so flattened out so I decided to get this new one. I read reviews that it was different -- harder, more batting, less batting, etc. I was halfway hoping the reviews were wrong. Alas, the pillow is different. The foam is firmer that any of my old ones were when they were new - so much so that I can't yet sleep on it. This pillow is a good inch taller on the short side than my old ones. Granted, my old ones are really old and flattened out. However this new is just not comfortable. There's also considerably more batting in the middle than my other ones ever had, which means my head doesn't sink into the middle as nicely on this one. The batting will tamp down with use. I'm hoping the foam will soften and squish down as well so I can actually use the pillow. Right not I'm trying to break it in by using it as a knee pillow. If it doesn't soften up / squish down some, I won't be able to use it andit will be an expensive mistake because you can't return it after you've taken the plastic wrapping off. I understand this (sort of) but you cannot accurately tell what the pillow is like with the plastic on. Ideally, Foot Levelers would keep the product consistent for those of us long-time users. It's very annoying 1. that the product is not the same as the old versions and 2. that I cannot use it yet and have to try to break it in when I've never in the past 20 years had to do that with my other pillows like this. Hopefully this story will have a happy ending. I will report back.

A great travel pillow for neck and back problems!
A doctor "prescribed" the use of regular-sized Foot Levelers Pillo-Pedic Pillow a number of years ago to ease problems in my neck and upper back. The pillow gives me so much relief that I make sure I haul it on trips. I normally buy a new one each year.Earlier this year, we planned a trip by air and a cruise. Tossing the pillow into a car to travel is "no big deal". However, traveling by air is a different thing. The last thing I wanted to do was take up most of the the space in one of my limited pieces of luggage with a pillow! I could not imagine the discomfort I would experience WITHOUT it though.I checked with Amazon and found a identical pillow to mine - but in a MINI version. The seller was MedexSupply, and to make sure I would get it in time for my trip, I phoned them. They were gracious and concerned sellers, and it arrived well before I traveled.I can't say enough good about this little pillow. Identical in design of the larger pillow, it has a narrow edge and a wider edge so persons can use the edge that best fits their neck length. It is small enough to fit well into a carry on, or take up a much smaller area in a large suitcase. A regular pillowcase fits on it - but you need to "tuck" the excess pillowcase length back inside of the case! (I ironed some Velcro on the opening to keep the tucked-in edges closed - but that would not be necessary)I highly recommend this Mini Pillow-Pedic pillow to anyone with cervical, shoulder, or upper back issues.

but I slept very comfortably on it
The pillow is just about what I expected. It tends to feel a bit hard, but I slept very comfortably on it.This is the second Travel Sized Pillow that I have ordered. I had the first one sent to my destination and ended up leaving it there for future use. The pillow is small, which is fine, but not small enough to stuff into an already packed carry-on.. I would have had to unzip the suitcase to enlarge, but would have had to check luggage and pay the airlines a fee. The second pillow will be used for automobile trips.

I have this full size pillow and used to carry ...
I have this full size pillow and used to carry it with me on trips. I found the small pillow to be an acceptable replacement when on the road.

Love it.
My chiropractor recommended this pillow for my neck problems. I really like it. It takes a few nights to get used to how it feels, but now I can't sleep with a normal pillow. It helps with the neck and shoulder pain I used to get when I woke up in the morning. It's a little bulky for a "travel pillow," but I did take it with me to Barbados in my suitcase. It smushes pretty well and bounces back to it's original condition well.

I have used these types of pillows for years with great results. Give it time for adjustment
Have used the product before. I have used these types of pillows for years with great results. Give it time for adjustment, about 4 - 6 weeks.

The full size works great and provides a great night sleep
We own a full size pillow from Foot Levelers and purchased this for travel. Our son has had many physical therapy appointment to help his neck. The full size works great and provides a great night sleep. The travel pillow was terrible. After one night of sleep he woke up with a crick in his neck. He tried again the next night and it was worse. Not comfortable at all. Disappointed that we wasted this money.
