Small fan - Big Performance
This is a 2nd purchase of this Chinook fan. 1st one was purchased 5 years ago in 2017 for the bedroom and it ran almost 24/7. It ran faithfully and quietly until it finally stopped working (or so I thought) a few weeks ago so I purchased another. I was not willing to just toss out the old unit so I was reading in the directions that came with the new unit (before I threw them out) that the fan should be oiled if it ever slows down or heats up. Doh. So I removed the blade and a few drops of sewing machine oil down the shaft brought the old feller back to life. I use that one at my office desk now.Great little fans, easy to clean (and oil). Once you get the little rubber feet positioned properly it is quite stable and vibration free.Air flow is quite good at low speed, and very good at high speed. And yet still quiet.A little more dollars than the budget cheapies, but I have gone through 4 or 5 of those in the life span of one of these.Good value and worth a few extra bucks if you want a small fan that is quality built, quiet, and will last.

A great desk fan option
I needed something compact for a desk space that tends to be hot bc it’s in front of a south facing window and my AC doesn’t seem to disperse cool air far enough to reach it. I was initially gonna go for another brand but remembered this one because I had heard of it on YouTube randomly. Given the price and purpose of the fan I was initially hesitant given there are cheaper mini desk fans that are regular AC or USB. But I decided to take the plunge. It does not disappoint! It blows a very admirable amount of air at me while I’m gaming. Even at level 1. Level 2 is strong and great for super hot days. I also find it very quiet. Which I was looking for. Didn’t want any buzzing or vibrating or rattling. Just air. The chinook succeeds at that. I know some people are iffy about the design, I find it charming in a very stripped back way. Maybe it’s just the minimalist in me. Overall I recommend for anyone who needs a smaller tabletop fan. Fair warning, it is not the most compact option you will find. So if you’re really tight on space this could be a Shock to you out of the box. While it’s certainly not mid sized it is hitting the line. However, the counter to that is that you’re getting a larger motor, larger blades, thus, better performance. Other perks are it’s made in Canada and it feels well made!

Mighty fan, whisper quiet, best travel fan I've ever owned
I *love* this fan, I have three of them. It moves the most air at the least noise for a fan of this size. On low, it's whisper quiet. All you hear is moving air, no motor whine. On high, it's slightly louder, but still no motor whine. The additional air movement on high is minor so I use low.The secret to quietly moving lots of air is large, deep angled, slower moving blades. And there's no safety grille to add noise (air rushing by) and impede airflow. The blades are soft, almost rubbery, and the leading edge has a rounded bead so no injury to a finger stuck in the spinning fan. A slight startle, sure, but no injury.TRAVEL NEEDS: I need a cool stream of air when I sleep. *Every* travel fan I've bought over the years was too loud, didn't move enough air, or had some other design issue. This fan is slightly larger that most travel fans but still fits nicely in my luggage. My only wish would be for dual voltage as I travel internationally a lot. I use a 220 to 120 volt step-down transformer. Be nice not to need that as everything else I own is dual voltage.

Quiet and soft breeze
Recommended by a friend this little fan softly keeps the air moving without being obvious. The large rubber blades without a guard is very quiet , I have accidentally, then intentionally stopped the spinning blade with my bare hand. No damage to the fan or my hand. The low speed is very quiet I can hardly tell it's on. A little more sound and breeze on the high setting but not very noticeable in normal daily life. It's not meant to cool a large stale room just to quietly keep the air moving a little more comfortably. I often forget to turn it off for days

Amazing little fan
After buying a solar generator, I wanted a fan that didn't pull a lot of wattage in case of a power outage, so I'd be able to keep some air circulation in my room at night, and to help keep me cool while I try to sleep. This fits the bill, at a full charge (the battery for the generator holds about 1 kWh) I'll wake up with about 82% battery left after 6 hours with the fan on low.Outside of that usage situation, this fan is amazing for how small it is. It costs more than more fans its size, but it's very sturdily built, has good weight to it, and I'm sure due in some part to not having a cage surrounding them, the blades being so curved throws a good stream of air, with low keeping me comfortable and high honestly getting me cold enough to need to pull a blanket up when I'm trying to sleep. More than all that, probably the nicest feature is how easy it is to clean and maintain everything, and the ability to order replacement blades. In the current world we live in, where everything you buy is cheap junk that costs more to repair than replace, and repairs are generally just wasting your time as nothings built to last, it's great to own something that is built to last longer and can be fixed with minimal effort. I'm a big fan, and definitely willing to suggest this to anyone I know looking for a desk fan or something small.

Best fan ever!
The media could not be loaded. Needed a small, portable, quiet fan for the travel trailer. I have other Caframo products and I know their quality. This is no exception. It actually weighs quite a bit more than you would expect from looking at it. Solid build, metal components and a good sized motor. The silicone feet on the nice wide base are quite flexible, and combine that with the weight makes it extremely stable and prevents vibration on the table/counter/wherever you place it.This is one powerful little fan! It is actually more powerful - higher CFM - than the more expensive Caframo fans. On low, it moves sufficient air that you can easily feel it over 10' away. On high, it creates a wind. The air movement is not just directly in front of the fan either. I moves away from the blades in a nice wide cone, so you will feel it even off to the side. Which is nice, because even on low, it can be a bit strong if you are directly in front of it within 10'. Nicer to have a lot of gentle air movement rather than a direct blast. And it is quiet! The video is shot from about 12" from the front and 6" from the side. The motor is absolutely silent. The only noise you get is the sound of air. The phone microphone picks up artifact buffeting of air from the blades, but you don't hear that yourself. (note: what looks like the motor slowing down is just the frame rate and light from the phone interfering with each other - more artifact)I am buying another.

Ruido extraño
The media could not be loaded.

Excellent motor, quiet, Made in Canada!
Buy Made in Canada. Superior motor. Lowest speed setting moves air efficiently and quietly so great near a bed for sleeping on a hot evening without using AC or even a ceiling fan (if not available). Compact design fits anywhere and can even be packed in luggage for a trip (using widely available plug adaptors as necessary). Excellent 5 stars. Did we mention MADE IN CANADA!
