Authentic Russian Army Ushanka Winter Hat with Soviet Soldier Badge

I like the product and it is so toasty warm I have to take it off at times just to cool down, but it is no way a 62" hat. I am a 60", and it was uncomfortably tight on my first wearing and I was considering returning it. After a few wears it loosened up and was wearable, but no 62" should buy this.It looks great though, and is well made. No problems other than the sizing. You'd need to be 58" for this one.

A very well made heavy duty and incredibly warm hat, I bought it for a costume piece but come winter I’ll be wearing it out.

Its a bit itchy at first but that's only because of how old it is and after wearing it for a while it doesn't itch anymore, its really comfortable and definitely keeps my head warm. I'm not an expert but from what I do know my ushanka genuinely looks authentic. it is a little bit tight on my head so you might want to get the next size up. overall 100% would recommend if your into the history or are a collector even if you wanna get it as a joke id say get it.

i live in a mountain region of Italy, lots of snow, up to minus 15 in winter: this is one hat that really insulate you from the weather.You do not feel the cold temperature at all, surprisingly, (is made of wool), for the hour that you are shoveling the snow if it's raining or snowing "wet" snow the hat became wet and heavy but your head remains dry. The protection extend to all of your neck if you fold the flap on the back, meaning a great difference compared with other type of hats, or to part of your face and chin with flaps completely down. only with a strong wind in front of you, there is some cold arriving on the front part of your ears. the hat is well made, no cheap stuff. Decent delivery time to Italy, no tax to be paid. perhaps the laces of the flaps are not too strong. Looks beautifull to me as well. You really need to carefully follow the advise on their website about sizes otherwise you will get a hat that is too small for you.

Great Quality, Arrived fast.Order placed on the 19th, Arrived today, 28th.The hat, with having a size 60 Czechoslovakian Ushanka, I went right for a size 60 here, and fits perfectly, its one size up from my normal hat size, so fits snug, no need to stretch.The seller is amazing, within a day of placing my order, it was despatched and the seller sent me an email with the tracking number for Russian Post & Royal Mail/Parcel Force, and the estimated time it should take to arrive (10-20 Business days to allow for potential customs delays).Again, the Ushanka is perfect, as expected, with all stamps on the inside & it also came with two pins for the forehead, the two I received were a field uniform issue soviet star with hammer and sickle in a bronze colour, and larger pin, as shown in the images above.5* / 10/10 Would use this seller again.спасибо

Sizes do come up small…ie my head is 59cm I ordered a 60cm. and needed to stretch it, to improve the fit…easily done…Should have ordered a 62cm…ok apart from the size issue….ALL POSITIVE COMMENTS….I have 2 boys…they play football twice a week…being a sideline parent gets COLD…very cold….I see parents with pretty hats, with designer labels with pom poms on the top….THIS HAT KEEPS MY HEAD WARM…there’s don’t…It looks the bees knees (to me) and it works…what more can you want….plus very thick material….my postman would wear one of these and he wears shorts in the snow…..I have used mine in my convertible car after removing the ice from the windows and putting the roof down….was -2cGrrrrr man stuff…..hahaha….a bar of Yorkie and this hat, winters well prepared for….Oh it’s not all itchy like the Thinsulate hats they sell in most shops over here…that hat will be used on the boys snowman this year!!.(ITS ALSO AN OPTION NOT TO ATTACH THE BADGE SHOWN IN THE PHOTO....)

When I ordered this I made sure I followed the advice of other buyers and ordered a larger size and it still fits quite 'snug' but still very wearable.Now I love this Ushanka and I looks like the bee's knees, don't be a skin flint and go for a cheap imitation if you want a real Gorky Park, Wind of Change experience then buy one of these I promise you won't be disappointed.I have worn it in heavy rain and my head has remained bone dry, it is extremely warm (how cold does it get in Russia?) and very comfortable to wear although you do notice the stiffness if you tilt your head way back!I did put the larger of the two supplied badges on it and it look great.A fantastic hat I do love it, oh! yes I said that.

I'm very pleased with this hat which arrived today. It's exactly what I wanted and expected. It fits well, the quality is good and I feel that it will be extremely useful during sub-zero conditions (I have an outdoor job). It's not water proof and therefore unsuitable for heavy rain but that's not what it's designed for and I have other hats for those conditions.Unfortunately this hat was severely delayed and took over a month to arrive but I didn't mind as the seller always promptly answered my e-mails for information. The problem was with the Russian Postal Service & Customs. Apparently only one shipment of hats that was sent out on one particular day was affected.To conclude, I love this hat and look forward to wearing it. Will my employer like the hat as much as I do - only one way to find out!
