This worm bin is foolproof. My wormies are thriving in this thing (even after not touching them for months).I bought a bunch of red wigglers and 'worm food' from a certain worm farm online, added damp shredded newspaper and a small amount of produce scraps at first. I add scraps, mist with compost mix dissolved in water as needed, and turn things over with a hand rake occasionally.Size is great for one or two casual composters or a nice teaching tool for kids. Too small for a larger family or anyone super serious about composting. Works for my mother and me perfectly. (Basically pay attention to dimensions.)No rotting food smell, only earthy aroma.Color is darker green than it looks on my screen, but a more "nature-y" green, so I don't even mind.Very happy with this purchase. Just wish they sold expansion bins.

Appears much bigger and bluer in pictures. NOT sturdy plastic, broke during travel. Very small compared to other composters, not good value, too expensive. But mostly annoyed that the pictures make it appear turquoise when it is in fact dark green
