Got the strings I needed fast !

I really love the sound and feel of these strings.

Already on the guitar and they sound beautiful crisp and clean.

Replace old guitar strings

Actually I haven't had a real chance to try these... Let me explain. I got the set and put them on my guitar but the 6th string was wound so far up the string at the ball end that I could not use it. What I am saying is that at the ball end where there's a wider wrap, that part of the string was too long. Up over the bridge saddle it went and so affected tone (sounding dull) and intonation. I did fine the tone of the good strings very appealing however... So, I removed the strings, took a photo to illustrate hoe the 6th string was defective and sent that on an email to Dean Markley customer service. They were very apologetic and responsive and thanked me for bringing this to their attention and made sure the guy in charge of production got my pix. They also sent me 2 new sets to replace the bad one I could not use. So to sum up, I put a set of Elixirs on the old Martin and I am waiting for those to "die" before I can try out the Blue Steels again. I have not opened the package but I bet the bad string was a real fluke and I expect the new sets will be fine. Anyhow that's why they got 4 instead of 5 stars. I never had a string wound like that before and expect I never will again... I was impressed with the tone of the strings though and will definitely give them another go.

Dear Markley nunca defrauda. Siempre he usado cuerdas de la marca en mi eléctrica, y ahora en mi nueva acústica tampoco me están fallando.El sonido de estas Blue Steel es limpio y claro (con un toquecillo brillante, casi "metálico" que a mí personalmente me encanta y que a mi guitarra acústica construida en Sapele, una madera más bien "oscura", le sienta genial) pero también abarca bien el espectro de frecuencias graves y medias, sin enmascarar ni colorear el sonido (partiendo siempre de la base, claro está, de que esto de la percepción del sonido es algo muy subjetivo).Recién puestas suenan a gloria:)Para mí es importante la proyección en unas cuerdas, de ahí a que use este calibre 0.13, y la verdad es que en este sentido cumplen con creces, ya que proyectan muy, muy bien.La duración de momento va bien, mis manos son de las que sudan bastante y hasta ahora (más de un mes de uso y varios bolos) el sonido no se ha visto demasiado comprometido (no más de lo normal, y mucho mejor en este sentido que otras cuerdas que he probado) y continúan manteniendo un color bastante vivo a simple vista.Por el precio que tienen en Amazon (6 euros y pico) están fantásticamente bien. Las seguiré usando.
