sturdy galvanized steel tray, total width is 22 inches
Despite that picture with flowers and breakfast and despite the name "butler tray," don't think you're buying a fancy copper serving tray. This is more like a galvanized gardening-tool tray you could find in a lot of places for the same price or less. The copper sheen is so faint it's only visible in certain lights. Tray is sturdy though. I had a shelf in mind for it and I added a few inches in case the handles weren't included in that 18in width dimension given, but I didn't add enough. The width is actually 22 inches with the handles. That's okay, I don't quite think it's pretty enough for display anyway. But it's plenty usable at least and not at an unreasonable price. I think it would make a nice, rugged tray for a lot of things (especially gardening things), just maybe not romantic meals. Right now I'm storing interesting rocks I found in the yard on mine.
