Hank Marvin Plays Live [DVD]

So many guitarists today play at "twice the speed of light" and although I love all that, its refreshing to hear - and watch - one of the great pioneers of guitar music! That "old twang" sound may not suit everyone, but hey! this guy can still play some of the best melodic guitar you'll hear!In his backing group he has his son Ben playing guitar and he gets more than 1 chance to shine on his own. I have a feeling that Ben is more of a Sreve Vai type if he REALLY let rip, but here he supports his Dad most admirably. And some songs have a real rock sound to them too! Hank also displays a very good rapport with his audience, even gets them barking!! (I kid you not!)If you want a DVD to chill out to, especially in the evenings, then this is perfect! And yes, Cliff Richard pops in to sing an encore of Move It!

As usual hank plays superbly well. I was not that happy with the video quality as it appeared to be only marginally better than VHS in my oppinion.Overall very enjoyable.
