The Foster Parenting Toolbox: A Practical, Hands-On Approah to Parenting Children in Foster Care

I was just approved as a foster parent, and I’ve found this book to be SO helpful. Some of it is just reminders from what I’ve already learned, but overall it is extremely helpful and packed full with information and different perspectives. Also very easy to read as each essay is only a couple pages.

New to foster care/ in process of getting licensed. I was looking for more information and recommendations. This book has been very informative.Better than many of the others I have bought.

Amazing tool for foster parent!

This book was very thorough and informative. As a new foster parent awaiting my final certification to start fostering, I feel that this book provided good insight, recommendations and resources. I plan to re-read it every so often to refresh my knowledge.

A mixed bag. This is a combination of brief stories about being a caregiver and short articles by professionals with good conceptualization and suggestions. When I ordered it I didn't realize how God-based it is. Am a Christian but of a different sort than some of the contributors to this reader.

This is the best tool I have used. I have completed half the book already including doing the essays and have learned a lot. Still waiting on my certificates and hope they arrive as stated.

We are getting our house ready to start emergency foster care, and this book was recommended on several sites and from other parents.
