Keen Utility Bigfoot Boots are a winner
I purchased these last fall to prepare for the typical Maryland Winter's snow throwing adventures. In a surprise move, we've had no measurable snow thus far, so I cannot yet attest to the water resistance of these boots. That said, I've taken advantage of the nice days lately and felled four rather large (sincerely dead) trees (14 to 20" diameter - 2 oak and two hickory).I live on a heavily treed 2.5 acre hillside lot and traction is very important when you're dropping trees in excess of 65' in height. These boots didn't fail me...no slipping! What about the boots, man?Okay, firstly, thank you for carrying size 15 boots. I'm between sizes, so these fit a bit loose. I wish there was a 14.5.The boots appear to be well made even if a bit on the heavy side. I like the high sides which provide some great support when tromping the hillside. The only thing I didn't like is that there was zero arch support on the insoles provided. This didn't turn out to be too bad a thing because I went to Keen directly and they had some high arch supports in a size that fit. I dropped another $25 on those. Instead of taking the original flat one out, I just slipped the new high arch inserts on top of the old ones! Now the boots fit much much better and aren't at all loose. We'll see how long they last and I'll update after trudging through some snow or mud.

Heel cup causing blisters.
I've owned for three months. Tried two sets of insoles (adjust heel height in boot) and 3 different thickness of socks. My left boot always blisters if I wear over a few hours, or do heavy walking. Right does the same, so it'd be interesting to know if others have the same challenge.Really frustrated, and past the return window.I wanted to love them, and they felt good on first wear. But not with real use. They are a stable and durable boot. But I may have dumped a lot of money into nothing.

Safety first
Most important- buy only according to manul foot measurements In mm!!Don't take sizing for granted. If you're using your own orthopedic insoles- add atleast 5mm in length. It take few days of intensive usage for the shoes to become comfortable.Once they do- you'll enjoy them!!!Keeping your feet safe & your ankle straight.

Good boot for the money
These are my favorite work boots to buy. I work at a gold mine and need a good pair of boots for my long shifts. I have reordered these boots for the last 5 years and love them each time. I always replace the laces when I get a new pair, the laces that come on them are very thin and don't last very long. I typically leave the original soles inside and never have a problem with them making my feet sore. I've been able to convert some coworkers to buying these instead of some more expensive boots ($800 plus) and they have the same experiences I do.Overall a good boot for the money 👌

Comfy, not durable
Great boots while they lasted! (~1yr)I was looking for a high ankle boot with steel/composite tires toes and this is what I decided on. Having had multiple Keen footwear before, I had high standards for these boots. For the first 6 months they only received light duty work in a bike shop. Very comfortable on 10+hr days! Though the soles did feel a bit too much on the flexy side.At around 7 months, they were put in the trenches, literally. Using a shovel and kicking dirt all day for about 3 months, these boots held strong. Until they didn't. It became a challenge to care for the leather in between so much synthetic materials. Leather started cracking earlier than expected, but they still had life left in them. The soles cracked in the same spot of both boots, eliminating their waterproofnes. Before that, they endured the wetness of snow for about 15 minutes before my socks would get wet. I wasn't expecting complete dryness from these boots, so no complaints. In fact they were quite breathable, much to my surprise.I had to stop wearing them because the edge of the composite toes chipped off inside the shoe. This chip was under some layers of fabric and eventually traveled a bit towards the front of the foot. I only lasted a day more with these boots because of that chip. It created a rub spot right on the top of my toes which was too painful to handle.Great boot, very comfortableNot very durable tho.
