Just what I needed.
My son and I are putting back together a mid-80s Larson boat with an inboard Mercruiser 140. It has a gas tank in the floor just in front of the motor and we needed to replace everything. The old pickup tube had crumbled away and without the old tube I had to find a complete replacement. I pushed the in-tube screen up about 5 inches using the eraser end of a pencil like the instructions said and cut about 4 inches off of the tube. I put a notch on the end of the tube like it had before and it threaded right into the newly cleaned aluminum tank with some teflon tape on the threads. I also bought a thread in adapter for the output and hooked up a new fuel line and filter and after adding in a new sending until it's finally ready to go back in. This is an old carbureted motor so no ethanol. I'll revise this review if it doesn't last.Link to output I used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0195V43V6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1Plews & Edelmann Amflo 406 Brass Hose Barb Fitting - 3/8" Hose ID x 1/4" Male NPT, 1 Pack

Replacement for one that broke in half
It works and it was just like the one that came out of the tank. Just too long a delivery time.

Works great after a minor modification to the Atwood tank
Far better than the plastic model the stretches and then leaks. I could not install this aluminum model in my Atwood tank till I used a fostner bit to enlarge the hole just below the thread of the tank. Now it works great!

A must for older boats
Bring life back into your vintage boat. Ethanol ruins the plastic and then air gets into fuel system. Wish they noted a fuel screen was built into this kit... was a great surprise

Good
I could only use the plastic tube for my 1988 Mercury 2-stroke gas tank. The threaded metal fitting wasn't compatible but the plastic tube diameter was perfect. I worked it on the old tank fitting and it got my Merc going again.
