Has in-depth coverage of the aircfact piston engines
I got this primarily for the coverage of piston power plants, and read it right after the Herschel Smith book. The first couple of chapters cover in-depth the features of the reciprocating opposed and radial air-cooled aircraft piston engines, the various parts and design of what is common in use. After that comes theory. I can't comment on turbine coverage.It did not cover in depth of what is uncommon in the US. Such as water-cooled engines, V, T, inline and inverted-V but that's understandable.

Required to Complement Propulsion Engineering Courses and for Young Aerospace Engineers
I had read this book in parallel with others (Aircraft Gas Turbine Engine Technology by Irwin Treager, GE Gas Turbine Engine for Engineers, and Rolls Royce book of the Jet Engine) and it is really required to establish and develop the knowhow and engineering sense of aircraft propulsion through the comprehension of engine anatomy.The book explains aircraft power plant in a logical and historical oriented knowledge. In consideration to this purpose the book is good for engineering students and young Aerospace Engineers just starting their career...

Great powerplant book
One of a couple of technical powerplant books I needed for my degree, Glencoe has fantastic info for the mechanically curious pilot. You aren't going to rebuild an engine with this, but it covers EVERYTHING about the engines that keep you in the air. Highly recommended for pilots who want to know more about their aircraft.

Great book. Price is very decent.

Worth for Rs.800 but definelty not for Rs.1300
The book is quite detailed and useful and is worth for Rs.788 (That's the price at which I bought it in 2014) and now it seems like the price has gone as high as Rs.1300 in less than a year. ( I guarantee you this is not wroth buying for RS.1300 due to the average page, print and image quality)
