It actually worked.
Was a bit concerned this product would not work since it did not contain any actual poison or cancer causing chemicals. We sprayed the hamster every day for three weeks and rubbed the oil in well. He immediately stopped scratching with each application. After a week his skin started looking better and his hair grew back. Now he appears to be mite free and back to normal, highly recommended as it works and isn't going to harm small pets.

Worth getting!
I was a little nervous trying this on my rats, but glad I did! I’ve been using it for a week and can already see a difference in their fur! Also knowing I’m not putting harsh chemicals on them is a bonus!

Saved My Guinea Pig
My guinea pig had been scratching a lot lately and I didn't know if it had parasites or not. I brought this out of cautious fear and am glad I did. Not only does it smell great but my pet has ceased scratching quite insistently.

I Think I Cured My Rabbit of a Fur Mite infestation! (in pic he is mostly better)
I just massaged this into my rabbit's fur once a week for the last month. I would have done it more, but the smell from it was so strong, I didn't figure I needed to. It's just a few essential oils plus castor oil and water, but it has done the trick. I tried hard to get it down to the skin, which I'm not sure I actually got. Because he is an outdoor rabbit, I made sure he was completely dry before he went back to his hutch. He smells like a French Whore right now, but I am glad he is practically mite-free.The rabbit was given to me by the relatives of an elderly neighbor who passed away. His name is Kitty, of all things!

Worked well for bunny
Used this once for my bunny by spraying it onto his brush and then coming him. He didnt seem to mind the smell and while it is a little strong and cinnamon-ish its isn't unpleasant. Havent seen a bug on my little fella so I believe it works.

Skeptical? Me too! But not anymore!
OMG! I was skeptical on buying this for the sole reason that hamsters are very sensitive and the cinnamon was a reg flag. However it is a small amount and i saw other mixed reviews where it was fine, and others where the cinnamon affected their hamster. I decided to take the chance as i felt like her quality of life was poor with this annoying constant itch!!!! I have a 6 month old Syrian hamster girl who developed a BAAAD case of the itchies. it didn’t catch my attention until it became excessive! Her poor skin was red, she would itch so hard that her little face would strain as she clawed away. I didn’t know if it was mites, a skin condition, or stress. However Muffin lives in a 840sq inch plastic storage bin with 10 inches of bedding that she LOVES to burrow, hide, and make tunnels in, too many toys for her cute self to handle, a jungle gym, a big ol niteangel wheel, etc. so i didn’t think it was stress. that narrowed it down to either mites or a skin condition. I felt like the Pestavert was my best option as i didn’t want to stress her out even more with a vet trip...and this protects against mites, while the oil itself is good for healing the skin anyways even if it’s not mites! & OMG i didn’t expect it to work this fast!! i have applied it to Muffin twice over the past 3 days and i have seriously not seen her itch or scratch since i first applied it!!!! Her mood has completely changed. When she had the itchies she turned reclusive and would sleep a lot during the night because she was losing sleep during the day from itching!!! Now she actually focuses on playing and living her best hamster life without having to stop every few seconds to scratch that never ending itch!!! She is so much more energetic, playful, and i can tell she is thankful in her little hamster mind! TIP: I’ve found the best way to apply is to spray my hands and then pick her up and let her do the hand treadmill thing (AVOIDING HER EYES AND MOUTH) while keeping a gentle but firm grip on her so that my Pestavert hands make contact with every centimeter of her body while she walks. this way the spray won’t scare her or get in her eyes. then i put a little bit on my pinky and rub the back of her ears! Her coat also looks SOOOO much healthier and full!! Problem solved and a happy hamster!!!

Not cinnamon scented
I ordered this last night and it arrived today with my $35 order. My winter white hamster had something strange going on with her fur and she's very itchy. I don't see anything moving on her or in her fur. She is not a friendly lady, she bites when held and generally HATES to be outside of her cage so I'm not sure what's going on. I've used nothing new in her bin cage to bring this on. I went with this product because it was an "over the counter" remedy that I'm hoping will work for my little Ruby.It comes in a decent sized spray bottle. It DOESN'T smell a thing like cinnamon AT ALL. I read tons of reviews on this. I have an obnoxious nose and can smell things from a mile away. My bottle contents smells like a lemony balm of essential oils. Very fresh, clean and lightly lemony, not a hint of cinnamon or anything spicy or warm.I hope this helps my girl and doesn't kill her--I read that review too. I will update in a few days. I found this incredibly difficult to use on a dwarf hamster. I wanted to target the areas that seem to be bothersome to my Ruby which is her neck, back, left side of her face and kind of near her ears. Spraying get only resulted in her wanted to clean herself. I couldn't get anything near the shots I wanted to because Ruby loves skin, she loves to bite exposed skin. I love her dearly but I'm terrified of being bitten AGAIN. I attempted to put the spray on q-tips but she wasn't having that either. I couldn't get her to sit still for anything even while holding her in garden gloves. Nothing worked so I'm just hoping the spritz will be enough.
