Placement is very important
I am writing this review based off my trial and error experience with this product. I had seen a fellow goat breeder had used this strip to call an obscene number of flies. There were literally tens of thousands piled all around it. So I bought it hoping to add it to my fly killing aresenal. I use the RESCUE bags outside of my barn and have had great luck with them but for whatever reason they do not seem to attract the flies inside my barn. Fly tape works in the barn but they can fill up in a few hours and need to be replaced often. So I thought I'd give these a try. My initial impression of these was they were a waste of money as they killed Zero flies. I first attached the strip about 5' off the ground on a wall that flies were crawling all over. After a few days it killed virtually no flies. After talking with a friend who used these he said he stands his standing up inside of a 5 gallon bucket and so I give this a try. It worked better but still there were more flies on the nearby walls than what it was killing. My third placement attempt was to place them flat on the floor just below the wall that I had initially attached them to with zero luck. I checked back a few hours and to my surprise there were literally hundreds of flies dead all around it. I am not sure the reason this worked so much better but after only a few days it has killed thousands and my barn is virtually fly free. I will definitely be ordering more of these.

Need better instructions
This product needs better instructions to go with it. I thought I was following the very confusing instructions, but thankfully there are 2 in the package because I ruined the first one, before I decided to watch a dang You Tube video to show me how to actually use it. Then when I talked to a friend about it, she had the EXACT same issue, the instructions are too vague. Just be sure to NOT pull the tube out of the holder, just squeeze it to break it somewhat...I haven't set up the second one in the package yet to see how well it works, but my friend says it works great. Need to keep fairly low to the ground for some reason, she said.

The best fly trap on the market
This is simply the best product for flys.It works at the horse stable and is perfect for home use(especially by your outdoor garbage cans). It maybe expensive for a fly trap but it is more then worth it.No flies'exposed on a fly trap like other products. You will be joyous when it comes to not having flies around you, unless you like flies then you should stay away from this product and buy some cheap fly trap

Does a Super Job At Fly Control
I have a large, approximately 2300 square foot, indoor kennel that houses 14 dogs, and although the main garage type doors have a screen arrangement there is a side door with no screen that's usually open to provide direct access for the dogs to enter and exit the outdoor exercise and potty area. Naturally, even though it's on a shaded porch, this also provides access to various flies. We place these Starbar strips in various spots throughout the kennel areas, and one of our daily chores during fly seasons is taking the broom and dustpan and sweeping up all the dead flies that have accumulated around them during the previous 24 hour period. And it's always a substantial number. So, yes! This product absolutely works extremely well for us! Your best bet is to try a pack of them out and check your daily body count around the two you have set up. And if they work well in those areas, set up more and let them have at it because they'll likely do a great job everywhere you happen to place them. I'm planning on purchasing a load of them shortly and putting them in the horse barn for this Summer, as well. That's how effective they've been for us

Did work like I thought it would
I tried this product around my outside trash can and garage door to try and reduce the flies. It will kill them quickly if they land on it but in my case (maybe my fly population is not big enough) it did not really do much for the amount of flies I have around my house. Hardly ever found dead flies under or near the fly strip and I did break the attractant vial. I will go back to using sticky strips.

I don’t think one fly lost it’s life
I read the instructions, even went to YouTube to make sure I was doing it right. I placed the strip hanging just barely on the inside of a bucket to catch all the volumes of flies that I was going to kill and I waited….and not one fly died. Maybe this was an old strip, I don’t know, I crushed the ampule and left it in the little holder so it would attract flies and NOTHING. What an absolute waste of money. I got snookered on this purchase!

There's better fly killers out there for the money.
I ordered this because of a recommendation and it seemed to work well. I quickly installed this near my trash cans, which are located in an area blocked from the wind. I figured this would be an ideal place to install this. Weeks later there was no noticeable decrease in flies. I ended up ordering liquid fly traps that you hang and those worked significantly better, albeit they are stinky. I'd highly recommend ordering the liquid fly traps instead of these.

Did not work
I had high hopes for this. Followed directions and is nothing like it says on the box. Unclear directions on what to do with the bait. Once I broke the tube by squeezing (Per directions) I didn't know weather to put liquid bait on the fly stick or just replace in the slot. It said it would have a strong smell and there was no scent at all. I have seen one or 2 flies on it. This was a fairly expensive item for what it is and I was most disappointed.
