OK - let me first begin by saying that if you are looking for something like this, you have troubles like I did. My sweet kitty knows that the kitchen counter is a "no-no", so she simply waits until I leave the house, or go to bed, before exploring to her hearts content. Grrr....of course, I am a dedicated pet owner, and she is an exclusively inside cat, so I needed a solution. I was very hesitant to pay almost $23 for some silly plastic sheets. But, like I said, out of desperation, I bought one pack. The first night I heard a huge thump and this worked for about 3 nights until she saw the places on the counter where I didn't have the plastic sheets. So, she simply started jumping on those areas. I went to order more, and they were out of stock. I started putting down big sheets of aluminum foil (huge pain!) hoping my house wouldn't catch on fire because the firemen would think I was a crazy nut! When I saw these were back in stock, I immediately bought another pack and am back to having my counters look more uniform - and putting these out is easier than aluminum foil every day. These are really overpriced for what they are, but the results are priceless. I don't regret buying them for a minute for the peace of mind knowing that I don't have cat paw germs all over my kitchen counters!

We were having some issues with our cats jumping on top of our kitchen counters and even sleeping there overnight. This was creating frustration every morning with having to wipe down countertops as soon as we woke up even if there were no traces of the cats having been there. These mats have been the perfect and most humane deterrent we could come up with. They take only a few seconds to spread across the counter and only a few seconds to remove. We kept the box they came in which allows for super easy storage. We haven't seen the cats jumping on the countertops and have seen them sleeping elsewhere at night. We don't intend to use these outdoors so I can't speak to how durable they would be if exposed to the elements. Overall we're very happy with these!

These work. I have to overlap the edges of what I am covering so he can see they are there. If there is EVEN an inch exposed he will find a way to walk on it. The only flaw is a manufacturing one. You can see where there are supposed to be holes punched through to help you wire them together but most of them were not punched all the way through. You need a paper hole punch to rectify this. Today he got up on top of a chair and spied a tiny space I had not covered and jumped up on top of the lizard cage to terrorize him. So I had to fix that.

I was hesitant to believe the reviews which said the product didn’t work very well but after trying it, I can see how it doesn’t. I witnessed a squirrel walk right across it, and later on, a cat did the same. The other reviews which said the product is lightweight and flimsy are correct. A good wind could blow it around my concrete patio. Perhaps each of the plastic squares could be secured if they were set on top of the soil in a garden? Possibly, but that is not how I needed to use them. They are made of lightweight, brittle plastic. The little spikes seem to be sharp, but the product is so flimsy the spikes became smashed. (See photo.). Each plastic square is small, and they move around very easily and separate from one another, unless you can find a way to tie them together. If you need them to cover a large area, you have to buy several units, which will end up costing you a lot. I found this item to be very pricey for what it is and not durable at all. I had to buy enough to make a particular area of my patio critter-proof and this proved to be expensive, useless, and ultimately a waste of money. They are being returned. (I’m disappointed as wanted it to work so badly!)

Worked perfectly for me. Had an issue with a neighborhood cat climbing on the railing outside my apartment, and "fighting" with my cat through the window. You can see the destroyed screen in the photo. It got so bad that it became a nightly occurrence, and I got mad one night at 2am and hit the window with my hand, scaring my cat, which promptly turned and attacked me. I didn't know a house cat could take down a 6ft man, but he did. I almost went to the emergency room the bites were so deep. Anyway, that was the last straw. I ordered these the next day, and installed 3 with some zip ties on the railing. Finally the nightmare is over. The neighborhood cat came to the landing outside my door one time, looked at the spikes on the railing, and hasn't come back since. It's been about 3 months now, and they have held up well. They look just like they did the first day. And no more cat problems. I thought he might start testing them for weaknesses like jurassic Park and eventually find a way, but I haven't even seen him come up the steps since the first day.

This Cat Scat Mat repellant pretty good if you securely grounded into place of location where you want it. It seems like it moves freely if it's not securely grounded because it's lightweight. It's kind of hard for me to ground it under the bush where the cat hides because there's a lot of poison ivory mixed in the bush!! It's a pretty big bush. unfortunately that's the same Bush that the birds and squirrels are always in. If anybody got any tips on how to get rid of this cat I'd be happy to hear.

This is the best product I have tried for keeping my cats off the leather furniture. I had previously bought an unsightly cover that I had to constantly remove and put away. It initially worked in the beginning but then they started to get underneath it and pee on the loveseat!! Now, I just remove the mats to sit down. They are light and not so ugly. They are really effective. They have definitely deterred my cats from trying to climb and pee on my couch and chair! I can spread them out to make them fit. They interlock and are not sharp but pointy enough that the cats don't want to step on them. Thank you. I already threw out one set of couches because they had marked their territory. This furniture is new and I didn't want it to happen again! You saved my furniture!!!

Lo ponemos cuando nos vamos de casa o cuando no utilizamos el sofà. Desde que lo tenemos mi perrita no sube al sofà. Ojalà haberlo descubierto antes.

My new furniture is safe from the dog as long as I remember to put on the mats. The clear ones are almost invisible. It’s easy to stack the mats and slide them under the couch when people are over to visit.
