Awful, awful book. Do not buy
I bought hoping to better understand my partner and make our lives better. The book starts off spewing pure bile at the author's "ex AS partner". It offers no help whatsoever.I got to the part where the author lamented her AS partner's lack of belief in ghosts and she started telling a story about being visited by the ghost of her dead boyfriend in a dream as he came to say goodbye for the last time and realised the author is an absolute loon.I requested a refund. Please, please do not buy this book if you want to understand and help a situation. If you want to just read about someone who hates people with ASD so you feel better about leaving then fill your boots.

Get out while your sane
It validated my terrible relationship and made me realise it wasn't me.

Unbalanced and derogatory.
I found this book difficult to read.:I'mI found this a difficult read: the grammar is appalling with many sentences nonsensical. Also it comes across as toxic and vitriolic and tarnishes all high functioning ASD folk with the same negative uncompassionate verdict.

Negative Piffle!
This book is incredibly negative towards people with Aspergers. People with AS can communicate and are not cold and are not afflicted. This author is not qualified to talk on this subject. As a wife and mother of loving people with Aspergers this biased uniformed 'book' has made me angry

Compelling
This book was written in an easy to read style and I found it very helpful. Katy cleverly explained each symptom of Aspergers through examples. It was like reading a personalised description of my father. It really made the diagnosis come to life in a practical way. I found it a helpful, non-clinical explanation to drill down on how living with someone who has AS impacts daily life. I read it twice and will probably continue to refer to it in the future.
