Tuff Support(Set of 2 Pieces) Liftgate Lift Supports 2005 To 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The directions says not to prop the trunk up. I did prop it up with a 2x4 cut to size. I made it slightly longer and cut a notch in the top to make it more secure.I replace one side and it seemed too long. I couldn't raise the trunk. I had to undo the old one on the other side, then I could raise the lid enough to get the first side started. Then I did the other side.The 2x4 came in handy. It saved my arm since I did it by myself.Works great. I don't hit my head anymore. I was putting the groceries in through the glass window. Now I can open the door.

Good price. I will mention the same as another review mentuones5. I would replace one at a time. Replace the one that goes bad and keep the other as a spare until it goes bad. The struts are hard to close. I just put an old one back on and it made big difference closing it. My wife no longer is asking me to change them because of how strong they were to pull down.

Worked great on my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I was concerned as one reviewer stated it didn't fit his 2007 Grand Cherokee. Installed in minutes with no helper (just rested the tailgate on my shoulder while I removed and replaced each side).

Wow do not buy any product that has the Asian conversion chart for the us because the sizes are so different that there's no way in telling if it will fit even with their conversion. Stick to US only sizes if you want a decent fitting shirt. This shirt came way to small and the shirt is of cheap quality that can be seen through when slightly stretched. I sent it back with the quickness and got a refund. save your time and money if your a person of decent stature. I'm 5'9" and 245lbs with a six pack (by no means fat) and not even their biggest available size fit me which was a xxl. so sad seen as how I love superman and this would've made me look awesome in the gym when I warm up.

Not same mounting style as stock units but worked just as well.

Installed Tuff Support Liftgate Supports on a 2007 Grand Cherokee Lerado. They went on very easily and held up my heavy back door hatch great! Not sure how well they will hold up in months to come. Overall satisfied with purchase and price.

Easy to install. Works great

The lift-gate goes up and stays there, which is exactly the opposite of what occurred before when you opened it. No need to watch your head any longer when loading and unloading the trunk. Make sure you have the Torx bits so you can get the job done as a normal screwdriver won't help you here. Also make sure you have a 2x4 or a tall/semi-strong friend to support it because the lift-gate is heavier than you think it is.
