Great upgrade! Ww2 scale performance!
Got these for heng long 3888a “king tiger”. The factory gearbox is junk. The steel upgrade gearbox from heng long is too weak to move this tank over obstacles and steers like crap, after adding metal tracks and road wheels. The 3888a is one heavy tank, but I don’t like the speed of the “blue” or “red” hop-up motors needed to power this behemoth. These Mato gearboxes have more gear reduction, much more torque to conquer terrain, and WAY more precise steering. The kit comes with no instructions, but if you’re shopping for rc tank gearboxes, you’re probably also a gear head. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!! Update: This review was written based on the performance of the 5.3 ver. , the 6.0 version of heng long tanks have much more precise controls, and I have not tried this gearbox on the updated model.
