Amazon Basics Double layer rollo blind, White, 96 x 150 cm

Having been quoted around £100 to fit a blind on our back door I am over the moon to have found this little gem of a blind which does the job at a fraction of the cost. It’s takes a little working out how to assemble (diagrams with no words given) but we figured it out & so pleased with the result. The double effect looks great, fits the door great & works great…. It’s great! Definitely recommend.

It is plastic and a little fiddly but still easy and very simple. And if my 2 year old hadn’t of pulled and swung on it 10 minute after it was up, it would of lasted a long time. Would recommend unrolling it to see the quality of finish to the edge as some places looked very tatty but I would of never used the full length so wasn’t an issue for me as they are hidden from sight. Used at front door and it does provide good privacy. Although from being pulled down, it hit the floor and the plastic end that the cord works on broke completely beyond repair, I still have it up and open close it manually, I will definitely buy another when my sons a bit older so I dont have the hassle.

Loved that it fitted my multi-opening window and wasn’t stupidly expensive either!

This is a gorgeous blind & super easy to install the instructions are a bit on the sparse side but i just looked at the images on the listing and worked it out between them, we had gotten new windows but they were smaller than original windows & handle stuck out further so these are a perfect fit as they attach to the actual window & not fitted on the frame.

The blinds themselves are fine. I could had done with them being slightly longer for my bathroom window but I knew what I was doing and was aware they would be ever so slightly short. My only problem was with the mounts - the sticky tap did nothing and the top mounts didn’t fit anywhere so I ended up taking those off and screwing through the holes to mount them which did the trick. If these blinds just had some holes to screw in then they would be much more universal. Overall I’m very happy but I could see this being a problem for some people.

Had a little trouble working out how the blind went together and not very well made as the rear part of the blind catches the back bracket so gets stuck .

So these are supposed to be dark grey but are actually more like marl grey. Fortunately when they are up though they seem darker against daylight (though obviously not at night when lit from inside). Anyway - I desperately needed something up in my new place so kept them. However, the fittings are a bit of a nightmare if you cannot 'hang' them over the windows. Other day/night blinds I bought came with the option of either hanging OR using screws to affix to the wall or inset / frame. These fittings were a complete nightmare to try to fit using screws - though we managed in the end. But seemed silly when just a tiny difference in the processing of those fittings would have made it easy to use both ways. (You need a special fitting as one part holds the back layer separate from the front later on the roller. Anyway - they look good when up and I guess it's not Amazon's fault that this model doesn't hang over my style of window. But just a small change to the fitting could have been much better for people to use and fit any way they wanted to (and more accurate colour description too).
