Talos Men's Canvas Cargo Short

I purchased these to replace some cargo shorts I have had for years that finally started falling apart. Was looking for heavy canvas for wearability, and deep pockets. My waist size is 36 but I can usually squeeze into a 34, so I figured a 36 would be a little baggy and comfortable. Probably should have bough a 38 because while these fit, they feel snug. I like a loose fit, especially if you plan to fill up your pockets. Overall, fairly heavy cotton canvas, shorter inseam (which I prefer) and seem to be well made. The velcro on the pockets I like....but my wife does not because if the back pocket flaps are no closed when you slide into her car..... the velcro snags her seat. Maybe back buttons would be better.... but what a hassle. I just have to make sure the flaps are down. Overall, nice shorts. Decent value. I'd just go up a size maybe if you like a loose fit.

I bought a second pair of these because I just can't find any other shorts that fit my requirements. I like the shorter length - the current trend seems to be long shorts that tend to bind at the knees if you're bending a lot. Not a problem here. Love the pockets - the main pockets go all the way down behind the cargo pockets, so if you stick you wallet in there, it's not ever going to slip out. Also like the velcro on the other pockets - secure but easy to access.On the negative side, the metal zipper can be a little fussy sometimes and doesn't seem all that durable. Maybe giving it a coat of some waxy lubricant would improve it's action. And the button at the waist is a rather thin plastic. Luckily they provide a spare button, but both of them broke in pretty short order on my first pair. Once I replaced it with a more solid button, I've been good to go. The fabric itself seems quite durable. Good looking all-purpose shorts!

Pretty well made shorts, not the B-Ball baggie type that ride your knees. Great for hiking and outdoor activity. Zipper a little funky, but some pencil lead should lube it up. Washed in medium warm water first and second times, and dye bleeding really not that bad even though they recommend cold water. Even just hot water and soap should get any excess dye out of shorts. May buy another pair, but still in testing mode. Waist band is very good and elastic, do not need a belt to wear.

Better qualify and fit than expected. I've worn nothing but Columbia Cliff Lakes shorts for the past several years, but they apparently don't make that style anymore. These aren't made of as heavy material as the Cliff Lakes, but they fit quite nicely. I hate the shorts that look like 1950s clam diggers. These will go into my wardrobe because they are above the knee. Unless someone has some very, very strict needs, these shorts should suit most folks nicely.

I have worn Talos shorts for years. I am 5'6" with legs of normal proportion to my height. Most "shorts" sold these days hang far below my knees. Those "shorts" are not comfortable, for me, here in Florida. Cooling wise, I might as well wear long pants. Talos shorts are inexpensive, pretty rugged and fit well. They end around the top of my knee and help me stay cool. Glad I can still get them.

These shorts arrived and I found them, to be a little small in my normal size returned and they were replaced by the next size larger fit great. If I had to pick a fault with them. I would only say that the zipper is a little short if a guy was somewhat lacking in eqiptment he may find it difficult to use standing in the restroom. Bought two pair and I would buy more if needed.

Designed perfectly for me. Unfortunately, I have to send them back. Side seams didn't survive the first washing. Maybe they just had a bad batch. But the company is being very good about having them returned. I have to pay postage, and they will credit my card. Couldn't find an option for replacement, which I would have preferred.

Nice, well made shorts. Nearly exactly the same as Croft and Barrow shorts I have gotten from Wally (now no more) which fit me perfect.The hem is just right, at above the knee by an inch or so.Despite the elastic waist feature, I found these shorts fit a bit snug, compared to the above mentioned shorts.
