Lakeland Mills 5-Foot Cedar Log Porch Swing, Natural

Husband had no problems assembling this swing. We did decided to use a water sealer even though this is on our covered porch.It seats GREAT with arms mounted ACCORDING to instructions.I'm trying to decide where to put a second one. Wood came smooth without ragged edges.

I love this swing! I used the assembly video on youtube to help me put the swing together and, overall, it was very straight forward assembly - bear in mind when I was a kid in high school I got a "C" in shop so if I can put it together then just about anyone should be able to assemble. I used Thompson's Water Seal on the swing and the A frame as I don't want the cedar to get dull and it is beautiful. I have it in my front yard and it is very comfortable to sit in. I'm almost 76' tall and I am quite comfortable in the swing. My only regret is that I did not buy the swing several months ago! I wanted to add a couple of photos of the completed swing but I cannot figure out how to add the photos. Highly recommend this product!

this is a beautiful, sturdy swing - it assembled pretty easy - need a few tools and some muscle - but the swing is beautiful! we light palm sanded it and will probably stain it - but really happy with the look and quality. the seat is slightly curved for comfort too. the only thing i did not take into account was the overall wide dimensions- we had to make some adjusting to the space rafters to fit the swing in the space properly - so it created a little more work to hang. but that was my mistake - very happy with the product so far. thanks! we purchased this set to hang the swing - Deluxe Swing Hanging Kit with TWO Swing-mate Comfort Springs and Hanging Hooks Rust Resistant 600 Lbs Capacity

This swing is not only sturdy but it is beautiful too. The cedar will protect it from bugs. Customer service is great, I had 2 seat panels damaged in the front, you talk to real people and they are very nice, sent the replacements out right away too. It is easy to put together but it is heavy so it takes more than one person to hold pieces and put the screws in. The seat and back are assembled, it is only the arms and posts that need to be put on. Don't make the slant of the poles any more than they recommend or it will make the swing tilt too far. You will probably need a drill the post holes didn't quite match up for the upright post. We already had hardware for a swing so that was no problem. This is comfortable to sit in also, the seat is curves to make it comfortable. The only thing I would have liked is if they would have made the boards just a little more smooth, it needs some finish sanding..

The product arrived with one slat broken. But I contacted the seller and they were very friendly and helpful. Sent me a replacement slat, as well as recommended a swing stand that I needed.Now it's all assembled. Looks great and feels very comfortable. Hope it lasts me years.

Easy,easy easy and it looks great, not sure of the negative reviews no its time to do a little sanding as these are not completely finished and the stain...buying another one!!!

My husband ordered this for me for Mother's Day this year. He was able to put it together in no time, and even the 5 & 6 year old kids were excited to get to "help" assemble. It was easy to hang with the 2 of us lifting and placing on the chains with little effort. The curves of the cedar make this very comfortable for relaxing in the shade while we watch the kids play on our beach. We plan to stain and seal it very soon to help it last as long as possible. Because it was so light and used some dowels to hold ends together, my husband was worried about it's strength, but it has held all 5 of us without problem and it still swings nicely. I really do love it.

This thing is a horse! I put it together and hung it all by my 67-year-old self but it would be a lot easier with another person helping. Very heavy and very solidly built. It's rustic with the various pieces having natural cracks and rough spots so Martha Stewart probably wouldn't be interested but I love it and everyone who has visited my porch has commented favorably. I love the solid wood uprights, which are so much nicer than holding onto a chain. The swing holds a whole generation of grandkids. The directions were, uhm, minimal to say the least but it goes together intuitively. It has the heft and hardware of something that will last until those grandkids have kids.
