A very good product at keeping creosote from building up in the chimney.

this product works great in my wood stove. and the price is excellent.

I started off putting 2 in each week for the first 4 weeks and then I will be just using one each week on the same day. So far it seems to work because I have had random chunks of creosote fall out of my chimney into the fire place behind the woodstove at times which is a good sign. Hopefully over time it will clean all the creosote out too.

New to wood stoves, and nervous. These creosote removing sticks are wonderful - peace of mind. Knowing we won't have a chimney fire is a powerful sleep aid!

I moved into an old house, didn't have anyone to clean the chimney, and the kids and I needed heat. I used a Chimney Sweep Log in November, and have been using these (which I believe use the same chemicals though in smaller more affordable / self-selective doses) since, to keep the chimney clean. I checked it today, and even though we've had to burn some green wood, the chimney is clean as a whistle! I feel safe knowing these are on hand. I use them regularly to maintain a clean chimney. I know they say you should get it cleaned anyway, but honestly, I don't see the point. There's nothing to clean. I WILL get it checked, for cracks and whatnot, when the weather eases up. In the meantime, I know we're safe.
