When I opened the box I was a bit annoyed because the shade screamed “YELLO(W)!” I wanted the off white beige kind of color. The size was perfect so I was committed. I needed this thing above my pool. So after using some highly recommended ties (Acronde 4PCS 1/8" Adjustable Heavy Duty Rope) I got on Amazon, it was installed. To my surprise the color was perfect. The color was muted once installed. Maybe it was the sun or maybe because it wasn’t so up close. After a full summer season of ridiculous heat, I’m happy to report that the shade held up.

This provides an easy way to have shade on a deck or open area that has lots of sun light. Easy to install and will provide hours of comfort.

I really hate writing bad reviews but at the same time I feel like not helping inform others is also bad. If you plan on using this more than a couple times don't waste your money. I've only had this out a few times since I bought it. I was afraid it wasn't going to last after the first time I used it (following summer after I bought it) and the "reinforced" area around the D rings was already starting to fray as soon as I put slight tension on it to hang. But unfortunately by the time I got around to putting it up for the first time I was already well passed my return time frame. I didn't leave it up for extended periods because I could tell the sun was doing damage very quickly. So collectively it's been up a total of probably 2½ months and it's dry rotting, you can't touch it without getting covered in powdery mess. And now it's completely ripping apart. Becoming useless. Repairing or sewing it won't do any good because it's dry rotted.

I bought this to protect my family from falling black walnuts so we could enjoy our deck. Didn’t want to get bonked on the head by them. Last year I gatherer up all the walnuts and placed them in my old broken clothes washing machine tub. The wife won’t let me cut down the tree, which we outfit with flair! Occasionally a squirrel will fire the half eaten walnuts down as well. I did not have secure structure to attach the corners to so had to make do with the limbs of the tree and some long 2x2 posts, so it sagged which was expected since not able to make it taught. Only complaint is It blocked out the sky where you could not see the stars or light pollution that came with the Target store years back. The description says sun sail but it worked pretty good as a nut catcher. Glad this was up for fall.

This is our second purchase. The first one lasted over a year and did great until succumbing to 60+ mph winds. Ordered a second one which arrived and was clearly not 10’ x 20’. The existing brackets and connections had to be moved over 12” on both the length and width. This is why it isn’t getting a good rating. Poor quality control!!

Although this item was a mistake for us to buy because of purpose and use, don't let that mistake you for the value for the size and the sturdiness and material. It will not completely protect you from rain depending on the abundance of it if it's something more than a light passing misting. Tip of advice have it at a slight angle to draw water down as we witnessed some sagging in our near pure horizontal use.

I have been very satisfied with the Sun Shade Sail I purchased 3 yrs ago. An exceedingly strong thunderstorm, which damaged some nearby roofs, also tore my old sunshade apart at the D-ring attachment points, and then into the fabric. I have no complaint; It is not meant to withstand near hurricane force winds! So... I happily bought another! Very satisfied.

Perfect size for our tiny pool. In addition to the sunscreen we put on the kids, they got that extra layer of protection from the shade. Install is definitely a multiple person job. It survived it's first Arizona summer and still holding up strong.We installed it on a Friday, let it rest in the sun through the weekend to relax the fibers and after we saw it sagging a bit, we sinched it up more.
