Airtite Stick 'N' Seal Decora Sealers

None of the big box stores carried sealers for Decora outlets and switches so these are hard to come by, but AirTite was great and my order was received much sooner than I expected. The product itself is great and seals the openings very well. The adhesive makes sure it doesn't move after it's in place, but it does take a couple times to get the technique right. We will definitely be ordering more of these from AirTite for Decora sealers and standard sealers too.

I've noticed that one of my bedrooms is more drafty than other bedrooms especially around the electrical plugs. They helped reduced some of the draft that was coming in but not all. Overall, I felt conflicted because I knew it wasn't the product's fault or design to block the draft coming in through the holes. I'm not sure what the best solution for this may be, but I can image that I may need to change out my outlets to tamper resistant so that the holes are blocked.Pros:-Super easy to install-Excellent fit around Decora shaped outlets-Pre-punched holes aligned perfectly for top and bottom screws-Seals around the sides (it's sticky)-Versatile in that you can punch out pre-cut circles in the middle if you do not have Decora outletsCons:-Draft still comes through the middle where the plug goes although it is not the product's fault

Method: Peel sticker, apply insulation at the narrow end by inserting cover plate screw into hole in insulation, first, then slowly working your way up, carefully keeping opening (for switch/outlet) clear of insulation & finishing up at 2nd cover plate screw to ensure proper length & prevent the insulation from showing.

Installed really easily and fit well in the,single outlets. For double and triple outlets I simply trimmed with a scissor so no overlap, causing a problem with the screws on the plate. Once trimmed a nice, airtight seal was achieved. I see no reason for these to not last at least a few years, keeping drafts out

i guess if you don't have vinyl siding it would help it at least covers more of the whole

I am getting air flowing through many of my outlets/switches on outside walls.These things work OK and are easy to install. They fit snug to the decora outlet/switch and stick to the box.They should be a few mms (1/4" per side) wider as they don't always cover the entire box opening (and there is room to be wider and still fit well within a standard decora wall plate.The price is high for something that I'm sure costs pennies per. But... this was the only bulk decora offering I could find.-1 star, because they should be wider-1 star, because they are expensive for what they are.

Users should be aware that the adhesion is so good that mistakes cannot be easily rectified! It is best to make sure that the drywall surrounding each electric outlet is truly flat and that no plastic or metal part of the outlet protrudes beyond that flat surface. Once that flat surface is ensured, installing the seal is straightforward.

Decent product, wish they were a little larger. Just cover the outlet box itself, not large enough to seal around the edged of it. around the edges is where you have the bigger air leaks in an older home.Pros: Self stick is goodRelease paper actually releases wellQuantity of package is just right for an average homeCons: JUST fits the outlet box does not overlap sides
