UnknownMilitary-Style Army Stainless Steel Watch

Solid watch but very small
I put the watch beside my Casio A168 as a size comparison. Prior to purchasing this watch the A168 was the smallest watch in my collection. I just may need to get accustomed to the size of this watch but my first thought was, "wow, this thing is small". Even though it's small I found the watch face to be easy to read and the vintage look to be appealing. The watch has kept good time and the band is comfortable enough. Surprisingly, the watch itself has a bit of weight to it for it's size. I've read in the questions where many are confused because the advertisement says the second hand "sweeps" but in reality it ticks like any normal quartz watch; 1 tick a second. The lume on the three hands is good but the smaller dots of lume at each hour marker are pretty much useless. For those who are particular about the second hand on quartz watches lining up on every mark; that doesn't seem to be the case with my watch. So watch snobs be warned. On one hand, the watch feels solid like it's going to last a long time. On the other, I'm not sure if it's worth almost $40. For about the same price you can buy a Timex explorer scout with almost the same build quality, maybe in some cases equal, but with the indiglo feature to top it off. Also with the Timex scouts you generally get a 40mm case which wears better on most average sized wrists. I have about a 7 inch wrist and it looks borderline too small on me.I gave this watch 4 stars because you are getting a nicely finished stainless steel case (which to be fair is impressive in this price range), stainless steel screw down case back, a nice unpolished finish, what seems to be a good mineral glass crystal, good lume on the hands, a date complication that is much easier to read than the above mentioned Timex watches. For most people, the water resistance should be adequate at 30m.I would've given the watch 5 stars if it was a tad bit bigger, slightly better strap, better lume at the hour markers, a little better water resistance rating (at least 50m), and perhaps slightly better alignment of the second hand.Update: I've worn this watch for about a month now and decided to give the watch 5 stars. The construction is solid and the smaller size I mentioned at first I've grown to appreciate. It wears comfortably because of it's smaller size. The watch has held up to some knocks and dings and still holds up well keeping accurate time. If anything happened to this watch I would definitely buy another as long as they keep making them.

Excellent value and great quality.
I really like basic simple to read watches without a lot of clutter. This really fills the bill. I’ve been a fan of field/military style watches for years and have several. This one rates right up there with the more expensive ones for a fraction of the price. Most of mine are automatics but I’m ready to give a quartz a try.

Good for Hands That Work
This replaces virtually identical plastic cased watches I wore for years which originally were waterproof but new ones are not. This one is steel cased and waterproof at least in the shower. It's still winter it hasn't gone swimming yet. The included watch bands are a thin nylon which some find stiff and uncomfortable. My experience is that they soften up especially after they've been wet and are quite tough.

Handsome Watch. Great Value.
This is a great watch so far. I've worn it intermittently for about 3 weeks and it seems to be holding up well. Great value for $30. The matte silver finish has not scratched or begun to wear in any way in the short time I've had it. The crystal hasn't scratched after being thrown into a backpack with other metal objects. This is a perfect "beater" watch. If you're into those humongous men's watches, trust me, this is not the watch for you. However, it looked fine on my medium-sized wrist.I'm giving the watch 5 stars, but I do have a small beef regarding the straps. The black strap is indeed black as stated, but the "olive drab" is more of a shiny khaki with almost a gold hue. I borrowed an actual OD green band off another watch and all is well now.

Great watch
Keeps excellent time, has good battery life, is very durable with the time adjustment button protected by the case, and the compact size is a good feature, doesn't look like a hockey puck on your wrist like so many do today. Would certainly recommend this watch.

Strap is useless - watch doesn't keep time
The watch appears to be okay -- very similar to a ten-plus year old GI-style watch I have worn every day and which has finally seen the end of its life cycle. But -- the watch says it's water "resistant" to 30 meters (that's about 100 feet!). I very much doubt that's possible. Nothing about this watch gives any appearance of being waterproof. The worst thing is the strap. It's more than an inch shorter than the overall length of the 2-piece strap on my old GI watch. I don't have large wrists, and the new strap won't reach around my wrist to fasten. The strap is also VERY thin and insubstantial. If you buy this watch, be sure to budget another $15 or $20 to buy a decent strap for it.UPDATE: After having, wearing, and using the watch for two months, I have verified that it loses two to three minutes per week. I don't even know how that's possible. I have never encountered a quartz watch movement, no matter how inexpensive, that wasn't able to keep time with much better accuracy than this. Because of the inaccuracy, I have had to downgrade my rating from three stars to one star. If you are buying a watch to know what time it is, this is not the watch for you.

Decent watch
Keeps time well. Hard to read sometimes at night. Glow in the dark hands.... don’t.

I’m impressed with this watch.
Accurate, attractive, well built, and I have been wearing it about 3 months. I added a parachute band and it’s a improvement to original strap. I want another one for spare.
