MINGER Govee Car Lights

The media could not be loaded.  The lights work as they should. They are installed on a diesel truck 4 door 6' bed. The transformer has no problem sensing the beat of the music over the engine noise, so a gasoline engine would not interfere with the flash to music beat either.The adhesive is 3m and strong, but in any environment, even with proper cleaning, it will come off at some point, so make sure to use heavy duty zip ties to hold it in place, just in case of failure. The little zip ties in the package are good for taking up slack and for any smaller points of attachment for the wires.The bad - the lines for the light strips need to be staggered. The length for the side strips is sufficient for mounting, if the transformer is installed at firewall of the enginee compartment. The front light strip could be shorter, and the one meant for the rear of the vehicle needs to be longer than all the rest. The amount included in this set up might work for a small car, think 2 door smart car, but you have to get really creative with placement in anything larger than that. The line for connecting the transformer to the battery needs to be longer. We ran extension wires to the ground and one into the fuse block, for this application.Overall, this was an simple install. I'm happy with the overall look and hope the led strips last a long time!

The media could not be loaded.  I own a nissan altima, and boy that was difficult to install by myself, and then the far back light didn’t end up fitting because my car was too long. so, i cut the wire that connected that light, breaking the whole thing. I then proceeded to make a hobo contraption involving super glue and a magnet to make them work, and only one color worked and the remote was useless so i had to manually pop the hood and reconnect using the magnet to turn on my one color. The color luckily was pretty cool, and my friends all loved it, but then one of the side lights fell off not even a day after installing and shredded them all and made me look like an idiot in the high school lot when i was picking up my scraps. Have to admit, they looked really cool until that happened. Also, little to no instruction was provided on how to connect it to your car battery which was annoying.However, now that I know that, I would definitely buy again if the lights actually fit my car.The lights in my car are from Govee as well and they’re great, but required superglue to installAlso, bay area overnight shipping. :)

Great Lights I love them but the one thing is they’re not completely waterproof water gets in the tube some how and rusted off the wires. This is the second pair I bought. The first pair was my mistake but this pair was rusted from the inside of the led lights. Also the adhesive was not working at all even after my car was cleaned from under and I personally wiped the area I was sticking it to with alcohol. I used the screws as well but they would sometimes go through the rubber holders if you constantly drive fast. I ended up super gluing then under and so far it has been the best way off keeping them where you want them but I also screwed it just Incase.Amazing lights ThoThe company got ahold of me and sent me new ones after this review was written. But the rubber case is comes in still gets water in it after a while the wiring becomes rusted.

These lights are adequate for the price. Several limitations not mentioned in the hype. The length of the wires dictates/limits where the control box can be mounted. It must be outside toward the front of the vehicle, which is not near a speaker. Therefore, the music option is almost useless. The unit comes already assembled, so the entirety of the 4 light strands must be fished from where the control box is going to be located. A more modular design would be very preferable (i.e. strands that would plug/unplug with optional extensions). This would also allow for custom lengths when needed as opposed to the limitations imposed by the current lengths. Range on the remote is ok. I can operate it from inside the vehicle, but have to search for the closest spot to the control box. The 3M adhesive stuck to some surfaces, but was not effective for some portions of the undercarriage. The tiny zip ties were almost useless since longer ones were needed (not a big deal).Bottom line: I am not unhappy with the product. It is a $29 option and worth that. Buyers just need to judge their expectations accordingly.

The media could not be loaded.  Le doy 5 estrellas porque realmente se ve muy bien, pero es todo un problema instalar las luces, los cables son demasiados cortos y no llegan atrás del auto, estuve 4 horas instalando las luces buscando la posición adecuada, ya que la caja tiene que quedar dentro del auto porque no es resistente al agua, el control funciona bien hasta el momento y tiene buen alcance, puedo cambiar las luces desde afuera, les voy a dar un dato importante, cada auto por abajo del chasis tiene un hueco que se comunica con el interior del auto exactamente donde reposan los pies de cada asiento del auto lo mismo atrás que delante, por si el auto le entra agua tenga por donde salir, quiten el tapón,por ahí metí la caja receptora para que quedara dentro del auto, después abre un hueco al tapón para que metas los cables, tienes instalar un cable rojo positivo desde la batería del auto hasta la caja receptora recuerda que el cable negro de la caja receptora puedes instalarlo a en cualquier parte del chasis del auto, tienes que alzar la alfombra del auto para coger la caja receptora, después queda colocar las luces, espero que les sirva de ayuda

The media could not be loaded.  Very easy to setup. It took me about 10 minutes to hang the lights(if it’s hot enough for the adhesion to work). If it’s any type of cold or wet outside than be prepared to burn the adhesion to make it stick, zip tie, or screw the leds into place which takes a lot more time. My only complaint about the leds is that you don’t have any type of cool strobing functions like you would see on higher model ledsUPDATE: back lights went out on me. This is the 2nd set I have to replace...
