Excellent bag
Excellent bag. Just what I needed for my medium format camera gear. Loads of extra space for clothing and bits and bobs.

Big enough comfortable to carry.
I needed a large bag to carry,D850 plus 150-600, 70-200 & 16-35 lens.It all fits just, the 2 big ones in the bottom with the camera with wide at the top (ready to use). You can't fit the 150-600 with the D850 on, inside. It looks like a normal hiking rucksack when out and about, plus fits minimal essentials drink, snack and small waterproof as well.

Great photo bag for hiking
I was looking for a bag that I could take my photography equipment in and comfortably hiking bag with plenty of storage options. This bag seems to hit the mark. Used it yesterday for a 16 mile hike. It was very comfortable with the right weight ratio between hips and shoulders lots of well considered storage options the main bag space was enough for my waterproof, pack up for two and dog bowl and food, with space left. This along with the top pack and various clever pockets leads me to believe that it will meet all my needs for day hikes or a very lightweight overnighter. I am 6'4" and the bag is a good fit although I am almost at the limit of the shoulder strap adjustments. Camera compartment is very generous with enough adjustable elements to achieve what you want.My only negative comment would be that the straps are a bit slippy so needed tightening on the shoulders and the waist several times. I'm expecting this to improve with use though.

Perfectly fine but there are better alternatives
I have purchased way too many DSLR backpacks....many will identify with the agony/near obsession of trying to find the perfect pack in terms of build quality, functionality and comfort. I've puchased a good number of lowepro, some great, some much less so. I have been using a Shimoda for a while; yes, more expensive than some but.....I was looking for a change and tried this. I am happy with the camera protection, although there is no side access (which can be the difference between a shot and none). The shoulder padding is adequate only. The chest strap "phone pockets" are actually too small to get a modern phone in and out easily. The waist straps are, again, "fine" but, compared to Shimoda or F stop, thinner and cheaper. As some reviews have noted, the top compartment seems to flap about and fit rather badly. All in all rather disappointed....are there better for the price? maybe not. are there MUCH better for a little more? Yes, undoubtedly (MindShift, F Stop, Shimoda)

designed for a big man
this backpack is designed to fit big man's back, myself being a female I found it uncomfortable empty and full, so immediately returned it. it is a bulky pack, but the 'camera compartment' is still too small to fit a body and couple of lenses + filters. Then the 'hiking compartment' is too small for anything than a day trip. I expected this back pack to be suitable for overnight photo themed hikes, but despite being a huge pack, I found it unsuitable. very disappointed.

Good but not perfect.
I bought this because I needed a backpack to carry camera gear with enough storage for other stuff needed on a day's hiking, usually in the mountains. While it does accommodate my longest lens and others, I'm pretty unlikely to take my longest (and therefore heaviest) lens on to the mountains so I would have preferred a smaller camera compartment and more space for non-camera gear. However, it is what it is and there isn't much on the market that meets this kind of requirement, surprisingly. One big negative is the very poor back "system". I think this will be a problem on long hikes and would have expected much better for the money.Darren J Spoonley has a good review of this bag on You Tube, I would generally agree with the points he raises so I won't write them all out here.

By far the best pack I've owned
Ok……so….let me start with a little background and NOT to brag! I’ve been a climber for 26 years. 13 of those spent as a guide. I’ve climbed all over the world including the Indian Himalaya with many first ascents..meaning….lots of hauling gear. I’ve been a photographer from the day I got my first camera at 14 (I’m 46 now). I’ve been taking classes, shooting, and selling photos ever since. I’ve gone through TONS of packs. And I mean TOTALLY destroying them! Rarely have I seen a pack so thought out and built so well. They thought of EVERYTHING. This pack is now my go to for even non-photo trips. I just remove the cube and I have a bomb proof pack. The fit is excellent (I’m 5’10”)!!! They truly thought of EVERYTHING on this one. My only complaint is the inside cube is hard to close while in the pack. Almost impossible with gloved hands. Other than that…this thing is next level good! You won’t need another photo pack and quite possible any other type of pack. This one covers it all !!!!!
