Holy Bible, Chinese Text Edition CUV (Imitation Leather, Black)

I ordered this product three times. The first time was perfect. The second time I received a maroon bible, which was fine except that on closer inspection it was the revised Chinese union version (rCUV) and not the CUV. The company was great to provide a refund and when I reordered I received the correct version.

While I in no way am able to read Chinese, I'm giving it a 5 star rating because the Chinese friends to whom we gave it seem to really enjoy it. This is like an NIV, so if you have someone trying to learn English, they may prefer to have an English/Chinese Bible instead, or an NIV in English to follow along and use side by side. This is the most clear version for Chinese people. It's older, but it's still what they use. Their language doesn't change the way ours does. Hard to imagine, but true.Also, our friends preferred this size because it's easy to carry. It's a nice little Bible for the money and, actually, it was the only plain Chinese Bible we could find in this version.

The size of this Bible is very pocket friendly, and the print is very clear!

The Bible was below my expectations, but I got what I paid for.The cover was taped, the pages had some writing inside, and there were some marks on the side. All the pages are in, and the binding is strong.
