Used for an HP touch-screen laptop. All appeared well and then it began to lift. One night it totally dislodged and crack upon falling off the desk. I wonder if the bit of heat generated in the screen made the tape give way. I have a replacement screen but this time I am using an RTV Silicone Adhesive.

Precut 3mm size appropriate for the ipad border, but my ipad (AIR 2) was slightly bent, as I think a number of ipad are that require screen repair. ThisTape was not robust enough to hold down and seal the glass screen in my case. I went to Home Depot looking at 2 sided tape options and found a heavy duty tape designed to hold outside wall objects. The problem was it is too thick. It stretches, however, and I cut it into 5mm strips, stretched it until the width was ~ 3mm. This thinned the tape enough to allow the replacement cover sit flush on the ipad. I then turned it upside down on a table and put a hard back book on top of the ipad, adding a 10 pound weight, leaving it overnight. Voila! A successful seal on a warped ipad, that continues to hold.

This item is 3M product that it seems the seller had purchased and custom cut? The inner cardboard roll is bearly holding on and the edges, despite a round plastic tissue seems dirty. May be from cutting process? Anyway, the product worked well for repairing an iPad screen. You MUST clean the area well of all previous adhesive and dust prior to sticking product and placing screen on. If you prepare the area well and clean well with acetone prior to using, you will have excellent results.

I used it to reattach my Razer Blade monitor's bezel. It hasn't come loose so far. Works really well when heated, I used a hairdryer to do so. I just hope its available in shorter length 'coz I only needed to use it once.

I purchase this to put back together my surface book base after fixing the keyboard. the old adhesive was removed and need something to put it back together, and this was great. You can trim it to the size you need and the adhesiveness if great from what I can tell.

I used this tape to replace and adhere a new glass screen to my tablet -- what this tape is supposed to be used for and the reason why I bought it -- and it failed for the most part.Sure, the glass doesn't fall off, but it's not properly adhered either. The glass keeps on lifting up such that it's not flush with the edges of the tablet how it should be, and if I wanted, I could pry it open with my fingernails. This was used on a properly prepared and clean surface. The way the glass currently sits makes it more prone to breaking and I'm sure it'll prevent me from using a screen protector.I've attached a picture showing how the glass should sit (by pressing it with my fingers), and on the opposite corner, how it actually sits.Overall I'm pretty disappointed. I've used many 3M adhesive products before and none of them has failed me. I'm returning this product and looking for something else...

I like the size of the roll, the stickiness is great, and all for a good price. The alternative to something like this is to go and buy a pre cut adheisive strip but those can be tricky and usually cost a bit more than just cutting what you need from this. The package arrived in a sort of messy state with the center core pushed out but that was minor.
